Good post…..agree Hull were excellent, altho let’s not forget it was a freak result…the XG of 0.46 shows Hull hardly created any chances.
They sat back with the defence building a solid wall which we struggled to break through.

We were saying at half time, this had a Rotherham United feeling to it, remember during our promotion season when they were struggling near the bottom
But played really well and beat us 1-0. We still ended up promoted that season. We love and learn, plenty of the season left.
Aye
Although not sure about the “freak result” bit - they’ve won their last 3 away without conceding

Was never a 3-0 game. We were abysmal but should’ve had a goal to make it 1-1 and then you expect us to go and win it…
Don’t disagree about the score line - but they were well drilled / organised - overwhelmed us midfield both in numbers & experience. The early goal suited them perfectly allowing 2 banks of 4 with pressing from front 2 which both slowed us down & /or led to us ‘lumping’ it
meaning we rarely threatened (Campbells ‘goal’ apart & couple of early BBD incursions )
Think Choudhray Sousa pairing gives solidity (+ ‘protection’ for back 4 - with Burrows in his ‘correct’ (only) position)
This also allowing Hamer & O’Hare to ‘probe’ / ‘break the lines’ ‘feed’ 2 forwards- who can (now) be varied / rotated as match circumstances/ opponents require / dictate
Peck has been outstanding in the circumstances & deserves a rest but still has a significant part to play.

Ever thought of being a manager Moan?

Yes,maybe. We never put them under pressure and we went long time after time, they were blowing out of their arses after 30 minutes but we kept on making wrong decisions. They deserved it,no doubt and credit to their supporters who took the piss out of us. What happened to Seriki ? Is he made out of biscuits as well ?
Seriki worries me as well, brilliant player, but never seems fit.

Freak result based on chances…their XG of 0.4 proves they hardly had any chances.

We had more and better chances than them but we lost. Goals change games, when they got the early goal they parked the bus and we struggled to break them down.

All their goals were avoidable defensive errors where we had several chances to clear. However overall they deserved the win, was quite impressed with their team work and effort, it was like they had an extra man.

Hamza can play right back too which might be needed if we don't sign a right back.

Nothing wrong with Peck last night apart from being shunted onto wide right.when he got the ball,no one showed or made space so he travelled 10 yards and had no options,he was fine until we had changes then no one knew where they were playing, what a cock up it was.
Free kicks and corners were awful!

Pecks delivery was generally pretty good but we don’t seem to have anybody capable of getting on the end of set pieces. Sounds like Jimmy Dunne could help with that if we get him.
I must have been watching a different game .... talented kid but too lightweight.

Don't know where lightweight comes from! Then again maybe has lost some weight due to the amount of games he's played with a lack of recovery time.
Don't think peck is given enough credit he turned 20 in October came straight from 21ss and played just about every minute since.
That is a remarkable stat.

Don't think peck was bad last night considering his recent workload and being flanked by two left backs

Wilder chucked that game when he persisted with burrowd in a position he looks like a fish out of water in

Whether our Chris is doing his usual trick of sending messages to the board or he's just thick I don't know but last night we looked like a team with no midfield

Would be nice to. See some semblance of some training ground work with this team, every week we just look like we've been giving shirts out and sending the recipients out to do battle

Every team we play seems to have Deceloped a high pressing, passing style that moves out around, whereas we just slowly pass it around taking safe options and safe touches that inevitably back fire as we still end up fucking up

Yes they were apart from 2/3,I have no idea why he’s been nominated? His play when in his position was fine and I was happy with that. Has he took corners for us before ? I can’t think he has 🤷🏻‍♂️

pecks good but needs to pass forward and move forward more often unless he’s got an attacking option besides him

He often surrenders the chance to be positive for security of possession …. Gilchrist is much the same

It's a bit of a disease running through this team
I rem one raking diagonal picking out burrows in space but he decided to touch it back behind himself even though he had a acres of space to run into

I give hamer some stick for surrendering possessing so thoughtlessly but he never ever takes the safe option and we missed him last night

Yep 👍 we were same last time wilder was in charge … safe sideways and backwards options when we are great attacking positions

I just want to see like 5 through balls a game and at least like 10 attempts from out attacking players to actually take players on in 1 v 1 situations ….

It’s so mind numbingly boring I want to poke self in the eyes with a needle

which just goes to show what load of old tosh that XG is...who gives a fuck about expected or predicted or any fucking goals except the real ones when the ball hits the net? Whatever was or wasn't expected, Hull got 3 and United got none.
And I agree with all the other stuff you have said.
