Well 4 losses in a month the boats starting to rock.
Boy did we miss Hamer tonight

Credit to Hull they did everything right

But we helped them a lot with slack passing poor closing down and losing too many one on one battles..
Probably too many changes meant we lacked the understanding we had shown

A dismal night but one we need to bounce back from . We looked panicky at the back and Anel had a mare.the own goal summed up the lack of cohesion.......

Write it off and start again next week

Souttar loss was cataclysmic and will be season defining if not properly replaced.

It's clear he was making everyone around him look great.
Cooper, Gilchrist and Anel all look a lot less confident without him.

Huge week ahead in the transfer window.

Relying on Robinson is not where we want to be.

Who are the 4 losses in a month? And which month ? Or is it 4 weeks and including cups ?

Can see why they took points off of Leeds (i don't know their record against other top teams).

Maybe it is a different game had that Campbell goal counted, a lot of people near me said it wasn't offside but I'm not sure.

Their second goal killed us, we move on to Derby.

Lose tonight. Win next two. Six from three. All good.

I know the op has counted back to Burnley, but just looking at January (as it's easier to look at it month by month) we've picked up 9 points out of a possible 15 (Sunderland, Watford, Norwich, Swansea and Hull) which is a good points haul no matter where you are and what league you are in.

And finding anything comparable to Souttar is going to be damn difficult. This is the reason imo that it is taking so long to sign someone. I have no doubt that the type of players identified will not be easy to get hold of.

It cracks me up that some other posters on here expect us to sit on our hands in the meantime and not sign anyone else until we get a CB through the door. Yes it was a priority, but so were another LW, ST and CM.

Relying on Peck is not where we want to be. His job? Protect the back four. Does he? No. He just runs around enthusiastically chasing the ball which leaves huge gaps which teams exploit.
How can you blame him when he had no one to pass too more often than not because we were sat too deep or moving at a snails pace.

It's not what he does with the ball that bothers me, it's what he does off it. Defensively he is positionally awful and does not read the game. It's no surprise tha teams are targetting our right side of midfield, on the wing and through the middle. I don't rate Peck at all. He's young, but he's a headless chicken who runs all over the place except for where he should be.

Losing Souttar was a big deal. But one player isn’t THE difference. If it was I’d say missing Hamer was the defining factor.

Beg to disagree. We have started shipping goals well before Hamer's mid season break(s).

4 weeks , seems pretty month like to me and the fa cup v a peer club

shows how we miss Soutter
Ok if you want to include fa cup then fair enough, but if you are using Soutarr as the excuse it's 3 defeats as he played the full game v Burnley

Funny how so often we rely on one individual to make a difference.
Though I do think in this instance we've fallen off a cliff, relatively, since we lost Souttar.
Robbo is not a leader and I wonder if when we do crack, there's no one grabbing the initiative to gee a few up🤔

He's an attacking minded midfielder who has practically no adult football experience being expected to learn how to play as a defensive mid with no experience or support or experience around him to help. Of course he's going to sink, anyone would. He's been given absolutely no chance to adapt his game with support because he just happened to be the only one to stay injury free.
