Altho Wilder only wants players that want to be here, so hopefully his head doesn't get turned by opportunity of playing for one of the bigger teams in his homeland.

I did see Vini Souza on Instagram replying to a fan begging him to come back to Flamengo with "👀" on Instagram.
Got a lot of fans excited.

We can't lose him in January though.

Seriously, if Wilder sells Vini and replaces him with a #brexitblade it will be the clearest sign to me that he is losing the plot, (again) and will not be fit to manage us in the Prem.

Granted, I am not a Wilder fan, he is limited, blinkered and stubborn, but a team full of English/Irish/Scottish players in the Prem is going straight back down.

So the, (#brexitblades) recruitment going on at the moment is just to get us promoted then? And Wilder will welcome Forrins with open arms next season? Despite his comments that a squad of International players doesn't in his opinion, work.

Are you saying Wilder, Bettis etc haven't got an eye on next season? If they aren't planning for the Prem it is an even clearer sign that Wilder will not be the man to keep us up.

He’s was fit to play for us against Norwich but 30 mins before kick off he came down with the dreaded Beattie Flu and we all know how fatal a disease that can be………

Wilder said very clearly in a recent interview that he’s delighted with the new data-led approach to recruitment that the club are implementing BUT he rightly sees it as a medium term solution. He recognised that our immediate recruitment need is for players who can fit in quickly and go straight into the matchday squad.
Players coming in from other countries/leagues are bound to need time to settle … but we need immediate impact.
We are blessed with a genius manager … and so far the new owners are encouraging too. I think we’re in a pretty good place both now and if we get promoted.

65.8 % of Premier League players are foreigners so I'm afraid it will all end in rears again !!!

I suspect the #BrexitBlades recruitment is a result of us not having an EU/Worldwide scouting network set up and needing to act, relatively quickly - I recon our league position has come as a bit of a surprise, to all concerned, so there will be a fair bit of scrambling about to make the best of what we can.

Clearly, taking on board what's been said recently about a date-led philosophy and the new money in the club, not to mention the possibility of where we could be next season - our recruitment process will change. I'm hopeful of a DOF appointment and CWAK having the opportunity to craft a squad consisting of nothing but high quality round pegs in round holes.
