However ours was more attractive because it’s guaranteed £10 million purchase + £3 million of clauses/ bonuses.

The only other offer I've seen was £13m if Mackems got promoted.
This is completely uncertain and thus not really an offer at all
Not much use to Foxes who need cash for FFP.
So we had no need to go anywhere near Mackems offer , coz ours was an immediate transfer deal , not a loan.
I dunno how Nixon gets his details but to me it was a straight haggle between our cash and Foxes need to sell ,
so I very much doubt we've paid £10m as the basic price , having initially offered £7m.
We had no need to match the size of Mackems figure coz it wasn't a reliable solution for Foxes.
I agree there'll probably be some add-ons , one of which could be us getting to PL.
Anyway , we'll see what the clubs are prepared to announce as the fee - they may even say undisclosed if Foxes want to trump it up for their fans and we want to play it down so we don't look like we're a soft touch.

My only concern about the fee is that I hope we have left ourselves enough to replace the biggest 2 holes in our squad :
Blaster & Souttar.

We are currently on the bones of our arse for CB & MF.

At CB , I discount RND , so there is just Baptiste.

In MF , both Souza & Davies have the sort of injuries which can be frustrating to heal and can recur if they are played before full recovery.

JJK might be nice to have as a 3rd RB after Alfie & Seriki and above Shackleton , but

CB & MF would seem to be a greater need.
Presumably if Cannon & JJK are permanents ,
the CB & MF will be loans , which can be tricky to find.
 
Good to see from that clip where he scored 4 that he has great movement and he can hit the ball cleanly with BOTH feet. Huge benefit that in today's football.

It will be undisclosed, then a journalist will make something up and it will become gospel, unless he’s shit then we add 20% on for effect.

I wonder if this one is being held up due to waiting on Shea Charles decision. If Shea is a no go then we turn to HC. Maybe the deal for Tom will be structured differently if we're also getting HC from Leicester too. Just a thought

No, I don’t think that theory is anywhere near the case. Pretty sure they’re all independent
 
It’ll be the usual United reasons for this not quite ready to announce.
If the medical is done, contracts and fee it’s just a matter of registering and the now obligatory announcement video.
With this being a clear statement of intent from the new owners with a significant outlay in the championship and a clear change in direction for the club from the previous regime I suspect they will want to milk and triumph this one a bit I suspect.

might be leaving it until the latest minute for Hull?

I’d hope he’ll be signed in time to be on the bench Friday! So better be tomorrow before the deadline

Wilder said in pre match conference that the players wouldn't have today off, they're going over prep and tactics for Friday, they usually would have next day off but as it's quick turn around they would be in.

Edit didn't see worksopblade post covering this, admin you can remove if needs be.
 
I hope he's available for Friday night.
The squad is looking quite depleted and I'm sure the players would get a boost from another arrival.
Not position-specific , just to give them encouragement that the cavalry's arriving

I'd assume by Nixon saying he's signed he's available for Friday? Just depends if Nixon is right
