He would have been a canny signing on a free and on realistic Championship wages. Been solid enough when I've seen him play....but.... his injury record is just too much of a liability I think and with United's recent record with injuries then it has to be a no for this one.

Pay as you play deal with a small basic? Fair enough, but I don't see him being without a club as someone will take a chance. It doesn't have to be us though as we now need (especially after we have cleared out a lot of the old guard and dead wood) players who are reliable fitness wise and regularly available. The last few seasons and the injuries we have had have been bordering on laughable. Time to turn over a new leaf on this front.

He wasn't very good 10 years back when he seemingly won a raffle for a long term contract at his boyhood club.

Barely kicked a ball since they've had cash..

Absolute dogger signing.

No from me, we need younger players, we've got rid of the old guard, build for the future

I have to be honest here; I'd never heard of him. And looking at his career stats, I can see why.

This would be a real head scratcher and would go against the transfer approach we have taken so far. I don’t think there is anything in it, just agent talk.

Perhaps it's to keep RND company, lonely in that treatment room

Been really pleased with our business so far and some of those linked with who may still arrive.

However, I'm non-plussed with this one if we are actually considering him.

That's one place that's unlikely to ever be quiet - RND, Davies and Brewster are permanent fixtures and Shackelton is already making himself comfortable in his new surroundings.

Would love to know why we need him

Robinson / Trusty
Burrows / McCallum
RND to cover either position

It would confirm RND as a spare part we expect nothing of

He was in the at Shirecliffe video the other day in the ball work

My guess is that Trusty is going hence the interest in Drummet.

Take it as a good omen. Whenever we experience some success there is always some under appreciated elder statesman involved
