Stranger things have happened. Moved back in to his sheffield home, back with his family, his pace is slowing and a wife that wears the trousers ……….

Walker Gilchrist Anel Burrows 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

This is and was always pie in the Sky, and went even further south as a possibility when he had to shell out a few million for his children out of marriage and their mother to live in luxury until they turn 18, and The wife then firing some warning shots across the bows and filing for divorce. I suspect it has really focused his mind to the true cost of that being he will be left with very little of his accumulated wealth!
Once his pay days for football end his income will be from what I am told is a property empire. Well if he gets divorced he loses half of that straight away.
Which leaves him with what’s left to support him and the other woman’s wildly extravagant child maintenance agreement.

So he was always going to be looking for that last big pay day, and the wife will put off the divorce while he takes another £40m she can grab half of a little later down the line, while he will be hoping the fresh start in another country will settle it all down and make it go away.
I suspect it’s just the start of another problem for him.

The throwaway comments he made with wanting to finish his career here were exactly that.. throwaway comments.

I don't think anyone really believed it would actually happen.
Is it throwaway if he’s mentioned it on numerous occasions?

No, that's a comment for life but like most of those, after a few outings, the handles start to go and there's a hole in the bottom so you start using another one.

When he’s 40 we have a chance, I think people actually believed he’d drop from Man City to us.

Well he is quite careless with his bags for life

The time for him to move I feel was last season. We were PL side and he had achieved so much already with City.

But he stayed at City as his stock was still very high and his performances were too.

I suspect for us right now. The club may be wondering if he has the right head space, what the wages would be and is it wise. Plus what would the fee be at the minute? Is that good use of resources

Kyle Walker might love the blades from the bottom of his heart, but is he going to come to us on £30,000 per week? £35,000 per week? He will go to the Saudi League then come to us when he is 41.

He's finished at top level prem.. lost a yard of pace an that has made him half the player he was!

He’s on 180k a week. Anyone who thinks we have a chance of signing him are living in la la land.
I think some people might have been thinking he’d drop his demands to a “reasonable level” (whatever that may be).

Not a prayer, never was

Papers saying he's moving abroad for the sake of his marriage. Might be them just reading into his lifestyle and family problems

I suppose it'd make sense. Get away from any 'distractions' that are around.

He always said he wanted to finish here. He won't if it isn't now. His legs are going.

Sad fact of life that for most people, the more money they have the more they want. It's never "enough".

It would be great if Kyle decided to spend his last playing years in Sheffield playing for United with his family and old mates close by. But it's very hard to say no to the biggest payout of your career if you're already used to earning millions each year.

Is he the first former player of ours to also play for AC Milan?
