What puts them above us do you reckon?

Think Carrick has had a few players off them in the past and it's gone well.
Probably a greater chance of game time up there and they play more attacking, possession based football.

I always think Wilder would sell the club to the players better than any other manager around.
But, to the parent club things that you've listed do go a long way.

I have been saying ever since seeing him play several times for Stockport, we will regret it if we don’t go for him. Would make an instant impact.

Strange response.
I'm not sure we're in disagreement?
I wasn't having a go, rather pointing out that their (presumably) more attractive style has brought them less success than ours, my implication being that if the player is at all ambitious he might place more importance on league position and likelihood of promotion than game time.
Talking of which, do Boro have a striker shortage (like us) that would suggest more game time (genuine question BTW)?

Given it's a loan, he'd probably be more interested in his own development than the club he's going to.

Re: Boro - they already have Azaz, a similar player.
Doak is playing brilliant for them on the right wing..
So not sure where he'd fit.

If he came here, I assume he'd be competing with JRS or O'Hare.

Having looked at his appearances for Stockport, he's played most frequently on the left. Can play centrally as well though, so would perhaps be competition for Hamer/O'Hare's positions rather than down the right.

Would be very happy to get him though. Has a will to shoot from range, which we're often too reluctant to do in decent positions. Too much passing for passing's sake sometimes, when we'd be better off just trying to test the keeper from the edge of the box. We've already scored a fair few from that area this season, so no reason why we shouldn't have a go a bit more often, and he seems the type to push those numbers up.

He’d also have Latte Lath & Conway as ‘competition ‘

Think pigs were also after him but it appears all is not well with chancery and rohl according to there forum about recruitment

If Liverpools £15m interest in One is genuine, do the deal and try for Barry, Let Brewster go in summer and £35,000 pw towards new signings w ages

One paper said pigs had bid 10 mill but villa want 15m .Last time Wednesday forked out that much was for Jordan Rhodes look how that worked out

Given that Wednesday are already selling next season’s tickets and have recently missed a payment to the tax man I can’t see them bidding £10k for anyone, let alone £10m

Tbh unless he's going to play in the left-sided role currently occupied by Hamer, which would mean no BBD??, I can't see how he'd play many games, especially when Campbell returns. Is he able to play as a single striker - it doesn't appear to be his natural game.

He could play LW (Hamer) or 10 (O'Hare).

I wouldn't mind seeing someone come in to compete with O'Hare as I don't think he's giving enough attacking output for someone in that role.

Fair CM but he's not a Moore replacement and I'd be surprised if there's budget to allow BBD (surely the preference considering his experience, proven ability at Champ level and knowledge of the club) and Barry. Another #10 is surely a lower priority than a RCB, CM, CF and then GK and RB cover.

Potentially better than BBD in the long term in my view, has the ability and certainly the confidence to move up to the next level. That said, if it’s a choice I’d still sign BBD to get us promoted.

That's "ceiling" though.
BBD hasn't just done it at Championship level (a level Barry hasn't even been tested in) but he was quality in the Prem too. It's a big step from League 1 to the Championship alone, as JRS was finding out.

he got injured just as he left Stockport, nothing major but is delaying the decision…
