Would be great if we could sign him on loan. Can imagine one of Leicester/Southampton/Ipswich will be in for him though.

Leeds have a bit of a tough run between now and 1st March. The ones in bold in particular...

4-Jan: Hull (a)
19-Jan: Pigs (h)
22-Jan: Norwich (h)
27-Jan: Burnley (a)
1-Feb: Cardiff (h)
8-Feb: Coventry (a)
11-Feb: Watford (a)
17-Feb: Sunderland (h)
24-Feb: Blades (a)
1-Mar: West Brom (h)

So in the next 10 games, they have to play 6 of the current top 9.

Leeds had a very easy time of it over Christmas. It's only fair that they have a tough run. I'd query you suggesting that Norwich (12th in the full table, 11th in the away table, 15th in the 8-game form table) is a more difficult game than Wednesday (9th/7th/4th) at the moment.

Great addition , questions around would he come ? Do we have the money ?

Wednesday at Leeds won't be easy the way they're playing and neither will Cov away. Hull see Leeds as their biggest game of the season so that won't be easy neither. We've now played Albion twice, Sunderland twice, Norwich and Blackburn away, boro and Leeds away. To be joking third after all that irrespective of injuries puts us in a great position in my view especially with players returning and a few new signings.

I still think we'll be top two come the end of the season. Burnley might be tight at the back but they drop points regularly, especially at home.

Cant see us signing Godfrey. I suspect they'll be more realistic targets like the lad mentioned from Forest by Rocket man. I suspect Godfrey could be one for the summer recruitment drive.

He'd be a cracking signing, but definitely destined for an EPL return. Even Spurs were connected a couple of weeks ago.

Benefit of Forest performing like they are is that players that they might think they'd need would soon become surplus to requirements. In terms of logistical reasons, we're a decent option for any of their lot who aren't getting in the side and don't need to live in a hotel for the next 5 months.

Gasperini didnt even want him in the first place and told him before the season started he wasn’t in their plans. On about £60k pw I think?

I totally put that in the wrong thread

Couldn't get in Everton's team though.

Has a high ceiling (/had?) but not fulfilling potential.

Let us but dream fellow blades. Chris tell the owners that if they let you make that happen they can change the name of the stadium to

“Cleveland Astrodome Guardant Health Community Stadium”

and the academy can be called

“Helmy and Steve’s centre for superclass sports development department”

“Brave heroes soar as Davies and Hamer grow closer, forging bonds under Walker's bold guidance”
