Any update on his injury. Rumors going around he's done ACL, out for 12 months!!!! Please don't be true 🤮

No updates that I've seen, his reaction was as bad as it gets though, and with knees it's all or nothing. He will have had a scan by now so the transfer rumours will probably tell us if he's off or not.

Didn’t look good. All clubs get them. Over to the medical staff to assess and treat and Wilder to seek replacement. Might not see him again as a loan player

Expect the worst. Back to Leicester for confirmation, treatment and rehab. Unlikely to see him play again this season.

If the reality is any better than that, imagine how happy everone would be?

what a shame we finally get a big physical centre back in and this happens this injury jinx at the club is getting very very tedious

Unless he's back by the start of Feb, we'll need to sadly forget him, cancel his loan and find someone else

Does anyone know the terms of his loan? Can it be cancelled?
I don't know the terms. But I suspect a serious injury would probably null.

At the end of the day, there's no incentive for us to pay for his rehabilitation, plus any possible operations. He's Leicesters asset they will reap the rewards of getting him fit and either playing him or selling him

In almost all cases, loans go back to their parent club for treatment even if they end up returning to the loan club when they're fit again.

Except that would have to be agreed by both clubs, and if Leicester value him and rate him as part of their squad, they would want him back which is normal practice with loans! Money involved either way?

I've no idea what the agreement would be money wise.

But United will desperately need to free up a loan space

Desperately need another centre back then, the more games JLT plays the lower down the league we’ll end up. He’s a competent defender when it’s a ‘backs against walls’ scenario but nowhere near the level for what we need.

I've just been told there's no limit on loans in the squad, just the match day one (5)

I'd imagine he'd still go back to Leicester, why would we invest time and money getting him healthy and fit if he's won't be playing for us. Plus, would Leicester trust us not to rush him back into our first team even if he's not fully fit?

Couldnt agree more. In an ideal world we move him on last Summer with the other past their sell by date players like Norwood, Fleck, McBurnie. But here we are....

Maybe it's harsh, but i don't see him getting a game at any other top half Championship side and/or having the skills & attributes to be successful in 2024. But we're now relying on him for the foreseeable..
