Still think one of the best moments of atmosphere I've ever felt at the Lane was when the teams came out for Blades vs Weds at the lane in the 17/18 season. Ian Brown - F.E.A.R playing and Gary Sinclair didn't say a word, just let it ride.

What a stupid post. Class envy and resentment is toxic. Particularly considering that your political point doesn't even make sense, as its the middle class Hooray Henrys who just voted Labour back into power across the country. They are also the people who dominate the Labour party in parliament.

What on earth are you talking about? Labour have just brought in a tax against these posh schools. Hopefully the next step will be to turn them back into state schools. Labour have always been and will always be a party created by the working classes for the working classes. White privieleged Tory boys can suck a fat one!

It’s not a tax against these schools. Do you have any clue what you’re talking about?

Not many working class front benchers these days, many of them having been to Uni and quite a few benefitting from private education. And there’s nothing wrong with that.

Crazy name crazy guy.

You really are an arrogant fuck aren’t you! I’ve seen you get into these silly spats before. The way you speak I imagine a solicitor privately educated who thinks he’s better than everyone else. Exactly the type of fan I’m talking about.

Let me guess you go to the game, don’t sing, leave 5 minutes before HT and 10 mins before FT. And despite never getting picked for sports and ever playing football at any level seems to think his opinion on the game is 100% correct all of the time.

Before the time that there were so many miserable bastards looking for something to complain about.
Look at the threads and comments on here. We are in 100 point form and people are finding stuff to gripe about.
Improving anything takes everybody to do something. I bet the people complaining the ones doing anything to make it better.

I haven’t commented on a game just pointed out you’re pretty clueless on the point you made about private schools.

Totally wrong about the game, Anglo Scan level at times and have had girlfriends.

Two up two down outside toilet for the first 14 years of my life. State education in S2 and then S5, Comp. Not a solicitor, just a greater reality on the world than you.

If that’s arrogant give me that all day rather than being a puddled ill informed class warrior. So, shove your laughable sixth form politics up your arse.

Clearly Girls High, Eton, Cambridge and Household Cavalry.

Just one question though, if l leave 5 minutes before half time, how can a leave again 10 minutes before full time?

See?

Apologies I over estimated your IQ. IT Manager would have been a much better guess. A job that you think is important but nobody else could give a fuck about with a slightly above average salary which you feel gives you superior status. I bet your best day at school was becoming milk monitor wasn’t it!?

Why didn’t you challenge me on my point about your “tax” claim rather than posting a cliche ridden image of me that you’d dreamt up simply to make me out to be a posh boy to fit your narrative? Which you’ve just repeated. Not clever really. Milk monitor? :) Aah!

IT manager? You can fuck right off, cheeky twat…….

You're not very good at guessing are you?

I'm going to assume you're trolling or playing a role here.

Can I join in?
It's COVID vaccine stops people singing and makes you want to be Wensdy fan. We were warned.
I think we are all in agreement with what's happening at t'lane, the Rand Corporation, in conjunction with the saucer people, under the supervision of the reverse vampires are forcing the kids in ear defenders to not make noise in a fiendish plot to eliminate the noise at'lane.

We are through the looking glass here, people!

😂😂😂😂😂

Are you seriously blaming the lack of atmosphere on a few children who may be wearing ear defenders to protect their hearing, or maybe they're autistic and/or have sensory issues?
I'm wouldn't blame the atmosphere on kids with ear defenders. You could possibly argue that in recent years football matches do seem to somewhat feel a bit more 'family friendly' and the crowd does seem to reflect that. I'm not sure if it's just me but sometimes the crowd noise when something happens sounds almost higher in pitch overall, as in there's more than just groups of blokes in there with the odd family dotted around.

It's no bad thing and there's absolutely still an atmosphere. It's been mentioned in another post, when things like refs, other decisions and rate of play seems to be going against us it seems to be a real trigger for the crowd and you can feel the tension through the noise. Personally I think that's the sort of atmosphere we're more famous for and why The Lane isn't somewhere you always want to play as an away side.

I agree. It’s usually when initial expectations are low but we manage to pull off a surprise. That’s sometimes extrapolated over the course of a season (02/03, 19/20)

Plus bad refereeing - that usually gets everybody out of their seat
I'm reminded of the Derby game on Boxing day 2018. They go.1-0 through a dodgy free kick and were then denied a stonewall pen. Cue much indignation at the ref and we storm to a 3-1 win.
