We have a quality Keeper

For me, the ones I wanted was Cooper number 1 target, Johannsson number 2 target. When we were linked to the Millers lad and then it slipped away i was gutted. Thankfully (and unbelievably) we then went after Cooper and actually got him. It was very much a pleasant surprise as I was waiting for another duff monkey to be unveiled.

The OP likes Cooper? I'd never have fucking guessed

Having a good goalkeeper makes all the difference to the defence. Having played centre half for many years, knowing you can rely on the keeper makes your job so much easier. Cooper comes and catches crosses, he talks to his defenders and is good with his feet.

That save today? WOW, absolute top class and in the end it won us the point. Very happy with this lad, great signing.

Every time I watch him he seems to get better. Kept us in it. Assured, confident for such a young keeper. We have a good defence in general. Solid. I thought we just shaded it today but cannot complain about a share of the spoils. Neither team had the finishing touch. Good atmosphere from Pompey. A lot of grounds you don't get it. But they really get behind their side. Tight, compact ground. Adds up the atmosphere.

Before today there was a lot of talk of him not being really tested, due to how effective the lads in front of him are but a good keeper inspires confidence in his defence (and vice versa)

Well those 2 saves today show that he can dig the team out of trouble on his own if needed.

Johanneson is at Stoke and still doesn't come off his line.
I don't think we were really after him. We needed more than just a shot stopper and it appears we have that

I started banging on about cooper a few years ago my Plymouth mates raved about him. Watched recordings of his unbelievable saves. Then I started posting everywhere about him. We nearly signed him three years ago.
I always wanted this lad to be Uniteds keeper even emailed the right people

You ain’t seen nothing yet fellow Blades

That save today, just before half-time, showed outstanding reactions. Grbic would have just about been hitting the floor......... right about....... Now!
I turned away from the TV to have my usual we have conceded a goal rant. Brilliant save when you think we paid the same fee for Grbic. The crazy world of football

I'm just another in the line of Blades who cannot believe just how good Cooper is.
It's early days, but the lad appears to have every facet of the goalkeeping art covered.

Immense reactions, not concerned about telling his defenders a few home truths when called upon,
exudes confidence which then spreads to those around him. In short Cooper could turn out to be one of the
very best signings this club has made in the time I've been following this team, which is 65 years and then some.

I know it's easy to get carried away with assessments and valuations of a players quality, but based on what I've
seen so far Cooper could be the difference maker, the player who is part of a team build that we all long to see.

Ability, age and English. If we go up this season I can see him getting in the England squad. Selling ramsdale for £30m was a fluke but if Cooper stays fit he'll leave us for more than that.
