Just trying to get my head around what hoops I need to jump through to watch games this year. Happy to watch on catch up on the morning (I have up watching games at 2am last season as it was all too depressing). It is definitely easier with Optus when we're in the PL. BeIn is ridiculously overpriced.
 

Season pass is £180. Don’t they usually offer a discount?
 
Have they done away with SUTV? I mean the pre match build ups/interviews/matchday shows with Asaba and Gage etc?

I think it's sky again who are dictating how clubs perform regarding what they show on match days . I might be wrong but someone on here mentioned there is a new agreement regarding clubs broadcasting their matches and interviews before and during also after matches . Sky want you to pay a subscription to them and use Sky sports + to view matches and interviews . Greedy bastards as usual.

Clubs agree the terms they sell to sky for. Sky sre essentially the middlemen
 
As mentioned on the other thread,
I watched a bit of the Derby feed (Rams TV) on Saturday, which had good build-up - analysis, interviews etc. It wasn't BBC Radio Derby.

Leeds is same they have a proper LUTV none of this Radio Sheffield commentary.
30 minute build up 👀 and assessment at half time.

SUTV seems to have gone for the cheap option.

We probably didn't have enough viewers to warrant putting it on. Or it's just temporary cost cutting.
 
Really looks like United have gone for the cheap option here

Surely we get more viewers than Derby. They must have decided that if people are going to pay for the feed, they will do it regardless of commentary / analysis

I was under the impression that if Sky doesn't want to broadcast an EFL blades match, then the club can make it available to overseas viewers only on SUTV. (Unless it is being shown on local TV in the country the viewer is in).
Therefore the pre-game show & commentary for those games is up to SUFC.
Last championship season we got Gagey, Asaba etc 🙂...this season we got Radio Sheffield ☹
Premier league is different as all games are chosen by Sky so SUTV not allowed.

Last Saturday SUTV was only available overseas at 3pm. We got Sheffield Wed Radio Sheffield commentary right upto match kick off then for the next 90 mins Radio Sheffield giving shout outs to the world.

Last Saturday LUTV was only available overseas at 3pm. They got full 30 minute prematch analysis, proper match commentary, half time and post match assessment and interviews plus the delightful Emma Louise Jones.

I agree with you its absolutely BOD ALL TO DO WITH SKY what presentation is on SUTV. The match feed might be Sky's but the PRODUCTION is by Mr Blobby on SUTV cos they can not afford to do anything else.

They could afford it in 2022/23 & it was only £150 for the season, not £180 then.
Maybe the Prince wouldn't sign off on it as he thought he'd have sold before season started 🤔
I'd up my fee to £200 to get Asaba back...he's an excitable idiot. Great to see & hear Deano too every few games 🙂
 
Its the same with the U21's as well not been any match feed for the last few matches inc today, I've had to join QPR and paid £3 & Join & download a Wolves app so i could watch an home game! (even though it was at York), and today there's no feed because its at shirecliff i'm sure they will be filming the highlights though.
 
Shame we stopped doing those pre match and post match shows, mainly the pre match shows as they were quite fun, especially some of the interviews/segments.
 
I was never really a great fan of the pre and post match shows on SUTV. Found them a bit basic / cringy. But I really liked having a good co commentator. I do think it adds something to the experience. Enjoyed Asaba for his passion. Bash was also excellent. And will always have time for Deano.
 
Looks like Leeds have have their shit in order.
They also have plenty up front, imagine the front two let loose, jeez they could cause some damage.
Wonder if they know where the onion bag is and what their str(i)oke rate is 😉
 
It was a pity that the Radio Sheffield commentary was around 5 secs after the action i was close to muting the sound at one point. That said we really are missing the screams of Karl Asaba when the goals went in and he at least had a clue about what was happening on the pitch.

Is the lass in the picture from Leeds TV trying to nick a couple of match balls?
 
I could not stand that Danny Hall today. What a load of old shit he was coming out with

He seems a nice bloke and made some really good points, but he did go on about some of those points a bit!

I think that’s probably just because it’s not necessarily his job to be co-commentating.
