But he'll be going for a very tidy profit (as sickening as that would be). I wonder if the Dutch national side will take notice of him this season. He's a very fit player. Great engine. Great athlete for his size, and has the aggression to go with it. The way he chased back and won the ball in the last minute said a lot - distance, intensity, tackle. He belongs in the PL. If we get relegated he won't come down with us
No fucking clue. At the very least I think ‘Haymer’ sounds betterSo 50% of fans round us were saying Haymer the other 50% Harmer. Which is correct?
He's a killer. He'll often go for those direct, difficult balls but you always feel there's a good chance it'll come offWe need to force feed him the ball. Couldn't get him on it for a lot of the second half, and we struggled.
I love him, some of the balls to archer first half were first class.
Why Why Why could this not be posted on the Match thread>?... Doh.I'd agree with the view generally he wasn't great first half. A few misplaced passes but even then I thought he made alot of great interceptions. His reading of the game to do this is brilliant and obviously played a big part in the goal. After that he was in fire.
We will have players peaking at different times during the season. Off the pace at times in the first half, his passes were often long and wayward. Shortened things second half, looked better, neater and tidy. He's not had much pre season so not surprised he's still rusty. I think if we can keep Hamer we'll push top two for sure.
Playing with his best buddy again too, it must break your heartsHe's way too good for this division and I still miss him.
Please sell him so we can get a few quid..
Was chucking 30-40 Yarders first half, second half shortened his range and was better.Atrocious performance. Up to the goal, the worst I've seen him and rightly digged out by Wilder in the post-match.
The goal made up for it, but he'll need to be much better than that. He doesn't look a natural athlete, so may be one like Fleck that takes time to get up to fitness.
The one positive is that he always tries to play forwards. When he gives it away, it's usually through ambition.
But tonight there was a lot of sluggishness and heavy touches.
One of the best midfielders in the division though and we need to keep hold.
What a poster. And what a shout. As much as we are crying out for a number 10 next season, we are absolutely in need of a right footer in there - and we could do a lot worse than Coventry’s Gustavo Hamer.
Really talented lad, lovely ball player with a bit of that Dutch aggression to his game. Can get up and down the pitch and isn’t shy of a few goals.
Had played the deeper Norwood role but has more than enough ability to play either the right sided midfield role, or the right side of a 2 behind a 10 too.
With Norwood criminally out of sorts, Lunny thankfully on his bike and Sander likely to leave we have to look at alternatives. And taking teams best players is something we should be able to do next season.
If anyone’s seen Coventry this season you’ll know anything good they do tends to go through him, I firmly believe that could be the same story for us.
Playing with his best buddy again too, it must break your hearts
It seems it was vital we didn't let him go in the summer. Some player.
Its just a matter of time till them and HMSPTL run riot and are out of touch!Talking of Coventry, are they top of the league yet?!
