I enjoy it when they show a Blades bias, so happy to take in on the chin when it's the other way round.

Don't listen to it very often mainly because it's based around a small number of really boring callers over and over - posh Blade, that guy who's always fawning over his friend Shaun, 2-1 ken (don't mind him), Brian the miller, and of course the gobshite from pitsmoor.

I think the presenters are ok including Rob Staton, it's not a crime supporting a club that's not ours. Sometimes when I've listened to it it's been mainly about us, even when he's in charge.

Hardly listen to it any more,had the same old callers on time after time,I do think they are reasonable broadcasters and Staton does call out the Wednesdayites at times. Adam Oxley is ok.

I rarely listen to Radio Sheffield but when I do it’s very balanced. I don’t know the individual presenters by voice but I know that Staton is a Wednesday fan. Thought that was common knowledge.

But credit to them, the presenters always seem to be balanced as others say and they don’t seem to be biased against any one club.

Night time radio has never been the same since James Whale finished. Used to be on radio aire late 80s early 90s. He was the first that they all tried to copy.

Agree….also I find that Staton is generally harder on Wednesday, slags off Chansiri and makes fun of their performances and he tends to be more complementary towards United.

Regards his style it’s edging towards a Simon Jordan style abrasiveness where instead of just keeping quiet and accepting whatever a caller says, he has the bravery to play devils advocate and question the thought process of callers.

If you’re a weak caller with a poor argument then it will put you off calling but I like how we sometimes questions callers. Also to be fair Staton tends to back up with argument with decent logic.

James Whale still does a regular evening show on Talk radio with his Brunmie side kick Ash. Think he only does 1 or 2 nights a week now because he has terminal cancer and was told about a year ago that he has about a year to live.

He’s talks about his cancer on his show and says instead of feeling sorry for himself he’s been very lucky, had a great life and he’s determined to carry on as normal until the very end.

Hi all, we read all feedback (even negative) and take it on board. We also appreciate passions run high in the city and the region. To push back a little bit here, the show in question started with a Rotherham caller, then a Wednesday caller, then a Blade, then another Wednesday caller, before finishing with a couple of Barnsley fans. It was a mix of views and one of the Wednesday calls spent as much time reflecting on attitudes towards changes in football than anything else. Certainly the show wasn't steered towards Wednesday and I don't think anyone listening would agree with that.

We're passionate about all of our clubs and just try to put on an entertaining show whilst providing a platform for fans to have their say. We have live guests in the studio, we do regular interviews with the clubs and we have our matchday coverage too. It comes with the territory that we won't please everyone all of the time but we do our best.

I agree he's a decent presenter and does know his stuff. His major weakness, is that he gets very upset when challenged and the toys come straight out. He's not a combative 'shock jock' type, just mardy. I think that will stop him progressing up the BBC ladder.
