Breaking News now on sky sports news MK dons Manager in talks with the Blades, bad move for him he done nothing must at MK DONS.

Robinson would be a good choice in my view. He would kick out the prima donnas, relate well to the fans and speaks with passion and enthusiasm for the club.

I think this would be a good appointment for both parties. UTB

Mark my words he nothing you cant afford to appoint the wrong guy again.

Hmmm I am in two minds over this.

Sort of wanted him last time round but like others have said he hasn't really done much.

At least he's seen how crap we are at first hand. Hopefully he already knows which players need to be eviscerated in the car park rather than allowed near the pitch.

I would be happy enough with that. A young manager with potential and his style would suit the players we have.

Hmm. Not really sure. Wanted him last time, but mainly cos the other candidates were so bloody awful.
Hardly looks an inspired choice. But he may do ok.

He was my number 1 choice to be honest. Think he is exactly the personality we need and his teams playin the same style and formation that we have wanted to achieve. Karl Big Bollox would be loved by the players

Wouldn't argue with the choice of Robinson - but then again I thought Weir a good choice at the time !
Better than Sven and the others touted and experience in this division !

Tries to impose a certain system of play but unlike Weir has arguably shown he can be pragmatic when he needs to be - grinding out results at Bramall Lane in the last two seasons. Whether he has the capability to turn around this season, I'm not sure.

MK Dons boss Karl Robinson has again been linked with a move away from stadiummk to League One rivals Sheffield United.

The 33-year-old is regularly tipped to leave Dons by national media and according to reports from Sky Sports tonight, he is in talks to fill the vacant managerial position at the Blades.

United sacked David Weir after an awful start to the season and this is not the first time Robinson has been linked with a move to the Yorkshire club.

He was installed as favourite for the job in May after former Dons boss Danny Wilson’s departure, but the position eventually went to Weir.

Robinson has repeatedly voiced his commitment to Dons though and did so again as recently as Tuesday.

“I’m very, very proud of being manager of this football club,” he said.

“As you all know there are times when I could have moved on. I love being here, I’ve got a unique connection with the chairman and the place.

“I’m firstly a supporter of MK Dons, and my job is to be the manager to lead this great club to a sustainable future.

“In the period of me doing this, I will get promotion. I do believe that, when the time is right.”

Well as the Odds checker has now removed any betting at all, we assume its Robinson then.

No experience of playing at the top level, only managed MK Dons. A slight improvement on Weir but that's it.

Not exactly what I'd call ambitious. And we think Wednesday are deluded.

Born in Liverpool, England, Robinson played for Caernarfon Town, Bamber Bridge, Marine, Oswestry Town, Rhyl, Kidsgrove Athletic, Prescot Cables, St Helens Town, Alsager Town and Warrington Town.

Prescot Cables -
The "Cables" in their name came from the largest local employer, British Insulated Cables, which was originally founded in 1890 as the British Insulated Wire Company, and later became part of BICC.

Should be alright for biros then.:)

They stop all betting on next managers through the night as they are unable to monitor what's happening. I think betting starts again at 9

A footballing career on a par with Bassett's, his relative lack of talent hasn't stopped him getting into management. He appears to be ambitious and pragmatic. His main job. if appointed, is to save us from the drop. It would be nice to think that he could do this in the way Weir envisaged the team playing, but I'm not sure that he can..
It's time to light the blue touch paper, stand back we are in for a very rough ride.

The majority of people were creaming themselves for Karl Robinson in the summer. I am not sure what people were expecting this time, however I he has always been my number 1 choice.

I'm not convinced he will accept it, from reading reports. He seems a bit of a prick tease.
Only on tuesday he said he wouldn't leave.
Been up for loads of jobs and never moved. He apparently said he would never leave until he got them promoted.

I was against any of the former candidates that supposedley turned us down in july/aug.

But then again i do think he agreed to come in the summer only for compo not to be agreed. (hence the long wait whilst we searched for someone else)

This time we have got our man.

Is it a good appt? I dont know as do neither of us. Dont forget most of us thought Weir would be a great manager for us & look how that turned out. Weir also had the rare thing of having 95% of the fanbase behind him at the start.

I doubt KR will but lets get behind him & the lads & get 3 points this saturday!

Happy enough with Robinson as long as he doesn't bring that cock Alan Smith with him

I hope he gets the job I have had £10 on him at 10/1. :)

I wouldn't mind KR at the club. I think he could improve our performances. Knows how to get results. His football seems to be of the right mix, playing the right way combined with achieving results.

Is the right age and could be a good fit for the club

And I have a measley £5 on @ 33/1 :)
