TBH I’ve mellowed in my anger at lack of signings on deadline day. I think incomings may have been dependant on Anel and/or Souza being sold, and they weren’t so nowt in.

However, if they’ve given their heads a wobble and play like they did today it like two of the best championship signing ever, and all for nowt!

If we get behind them and they respond it’s like 2 big signings and they’ll get noticed by the big clubs they crave so win win.

I am in the same boat.

On Saturday morning I was spitting feathers, and actually felt the club had been negligent in not strengthening attack and defence.
Without doubt we are still very light up top, but seeing that Souza and Anel partnership today gave me confidence. JLT, Gilchrist and RND should be fine as back up CBs and Shackleton's little cameo showed that we might be ok for RB cover, especially with Siriki soon to be back.

Then of course we have Souza. My god he looks fired up, and I have said before that in a team that is used to getting results, where he is truly motivated, he really could end up being a talisman. The signs so far are encouraging.

Wilder is going to have to shuffle the pack a lot over the next 4 months, and whilst we have the makings of a promotion team, our squad is still a few light and this will definitely need addressing in January. The new owners haven't got their feet under the table yet, but there will no excuse in the next transfer window.

wilder along with our fans will be concerned about our striker options which in all honesty is limited to say the least not only did we need somebody to challenge moore we also needed a striker with pace to get in behind defences it does seem odd that wilder only last week was saying he would like 2 or 3 more signings to come in looks very much like somebody has pulled the plug 🤔

Agree the lack of activity is just weird....makes no sense.

2 months ago I predicted we'd finish mid table, not because we had an average team.
50%of our squad was top 6 promotion standard, the other 50% were nearer relegation standard.

Since then, as expected we've strengthened further with some more top quality signings.
I'd say that now 80% of our squad is easily top 6 promotion standard but the other 20% is weak.

It's like we had an ambitious plan......targeting top quality singings.
Then right at the end, when we need 2 strikers, we've just given up.
As you say it's as thought someone has pulled the plugged and deliberately stopped funding us.

Still think we'll have a good season but not as confident regards top 6.
Surely as long as we're within striking distance of the top 6.....then we'll bring in a striker or 2 in the Jan transfer window.

It's pretty obvious Abdullah pulled the plug
Why we can only speculate

Quite a few people close to PA suggest he isn't.
Like who ?
At time of transfer window closing he was still the owner
Don't mistake me for a dickhead who. Comes on here to criticise him I've been a pretty big defender of him but he was in charge and I'm pretty sure he still is

Nothing on the EFL site or companies house says otherwise so. Stick your spazzy laughing emoji up your arse

There's nothing to suggest what your saying is true either.

You are just speculating.

There is nothing to suggest that the EFL and companies house haven't notified of our change of owners as legally required ?

You don't think that the club were waiting (hoping?) to sell Anel or Souza in order to raise funds for last minute signings?
Would you have been happier if one of them, or Hamer! had been sold to buy someone else?

That's exactly what I think
I'm not complaining about the situation I'm simply Stating that ownership hasn't changed and our owner pulled the plug
Reading the thread would give you the context you required before jumping to conclusions

have to say two thirds of our squad is top 6 but im afraid the final third certainly isnt and slightly baffling to most blades fans as to why we didnt strengthen our striking options 3 strikers including a striker just out of our youth team and another striker whos never gonna succeed at the lane and were in big trouble lets hope a couple of strikers come in next january

He isn't speculating, at this moment in time PA is still our owner and will be until any announcement to the contrary.

Probably bollox as everything I’ve said that is about to happen re the takeover has ended up being bollox, but was told today that there’s still a document to be signed by PA and that is holding it all up

Why there should still be a signature required after all this time seems pretty ridiculous, so yeah probably bollox?

Pulled the plug on what exactly?
You expecting a money tree from somewhere?
Up to now as far as I can see our signings have come from players sold - do you mean he's pulled the plug on selling Anel, Souza or Hamer?

Pulled the plug on filling the two loan slots

If Anel had gone we would have been able to get Mepham and Cannon and still had the funds to be at the 20m in the black position to keep us where we need to be.
He didn’t go so the money from Trusty tipped up the Osula money to keep us just above the self funding level

Close to joining Vancouver Whitecaps apparently

Well that's true, but presumably a change is imminent unless we and the press have all been led up the garden path in recent months.

What like the last 2 'takeovers' ?

I'm sure we will be bought at some point but what's the saying 'once bitten, twice shy'?

So for me twice bitten means don't believe a thing until it's announced and the new owners are photographed in front of the south stand

The last week of the window suggests to me something isn't quite right
