He’s rubbish. Say whatever you want about his luck regarding injuries but missing chances like that tonight is not down to luck, he’s simply not very good.

I'll judge him when I see him on the pitch with the team playing to his strengths I.e. midfield playing early through balls for him to get on to. Thr problem is (and this is a fair criticism as such) is that the lad for one reason or another contract seem to stay fit for any length of time to get up up to speed. That's a fair comment I think. But i stand by my earlier post. Tonight his link up play first half was decent and we didn't help him (or ourselves) by the way we took so long to break between the lines. I don't blame Brewster at all for the second half as he had no service from midfield or out wide (neither did any other forward we had on thr pitch tonight either).
At £35k per week that's not going to happen is it. We might be able to persuade someone to contribute £1k per weekIf we could get anyone to take over his contract I’d fucking jump at it.
He has absolutely no impact on games.
Thought he did OK overall tonight.
His link up play in the first half was decent, though the should really have scored when he had the cut back to him, and I think he hit the post. Second half...he didn't get involved as much as he could have done but then we certainly didn't play to his strengths and try and through balls for him to run onto as we were so pedestrian in getting the ball moving in their final third. We seemed to consistently faff around withnit at the back and then only try attacking when they're had all got back into their shape again. That's not going to help a forward when it's just over crowded in their final third.
Brewster was no worse than any other player tonight (Hamer excepted) so it's bizarre that some on here want to keep digging him out for criticism - more so than others.
Moore will in time be the most suited to one up top role as.ling as he gets service. Having another winger in Johnston coming will help.Every time his name crops up is a reminder of the club's awful decision to spend obscene fee & wages when there was no evidence of value.
Hey ho - anyway , what a feckin mess we are in for strikers.
Moore looking unsuited to lone striker role.
Campbell miles off fitness.
Brewster ...
Marsh not ready for Championship.
One not trusted to have a run-out in a Cup game to which Wilder evidently attaches no importance.
We better get a feckin good un soon.
Contrast that lot with the profits made on Toney & Watkins , with whom we were linked earlier in their careers.Yet he has played under 3 different managers with different tactics, shapes and varying degrees of service and looked totally ineffective.
He doesnt score, he doesn't hold it up, rarely shows for it, doesn't make runs and his touch is very hit and miss. It's OK saying he had no service but he also has to make runs and get involved. He hides a lot and seems to lack a football brain of when to come short/go long.
If he was a lad coming through, we'd be saying he's way out of his depth. Those pinning their hopes on him finding form of 5 years ago (a few months of a 6 year body of work) are really stretching.
The fact I don't even think he is good enough to be a worthwhile opition from the bench sums it up. He will depart at the end of the season and in essence Wilder will have signed around 60 million of forwards in him, McBurnie, Mousset and Robinson/Burke and all will have left the club for nothing. That's an awful lot of money for no resale value.
It’s like they have their posts ready to go before watching him each game.Thought he did OK overall tonight.

Might be wrong, but I would call him an expensive passenger, we just can't afford to carry him anymore. Either pay him up or loan him out.If we could get anyone to take over his contract I’d fucking jump at it.

What a fucking shambles!!Yet he has played under 3 different managers with different tactics, shapes and varying degrees of service and looked totally ineffective.

In his first season, I couldn't think of any forward that looked less of a footballer than Brewster Bear.Yet he has played under 3 different managers with different tactics, shapes and varying degrees of service and looked totally ineffective.

“There’s a player in there”This charade with Brewster has gone on for so long now it's just funny.
The lad's honeymoon period expired literally years ago.
I kind of want us to keep him just to see how much longer he can continue to hoodwink people, he's like the Frank Abagnale Jr. of the footballing world.
Never has a Blades player before or since ever been afforded such grace or had so many excuses made in his defence after offering so little.
"It'll come"
"He's unlucky"
"He's jinxed"
"He's been unlucky with injuries"
"He's cursed"
"He can't catch a break"
"He just needs that one goal"
"He's a really nice lad"
Jesus fucking Christ.

I'm definitely in the, "He's nice lad," camp; but when you put it like that his chance of making it as an actual footballer seems to be a distant speck on the horizon. Can't score (even penaltys /open goals or one on one's). He wins no headers, can't pass 10 yds let alone split the defence, can't beat a man, can't hold the ball up, can't stay fit, can't pass, average pace, can't remember a cross. I think I missed some.
He has almost as many red cards as goals.
Can both not be true? This charade with Brewster has gone on for so long now it's just funny.

He has been unlucky, he has had awful injuries he could do nothing about, he does seem a nice lad, the other players do seem to like him, but he's also not shown nearly enough for us to give him another contract. He'll leave at the end of it, we'll move on. Can we do that without abusing him for the next 10 months?
For Brewster we have that 6 game period where he scored 3 goals in January 2023.
