I like Moore, really do.
But I'm a bit worried as to whether it was just match sharpness or if his touch is actually that bad. He ruined 2 or 3 really, really good opportunities the other day just by having a bad touch. When you're trying to play the style we are that player has to be a very good player with link up and in possession.
McBurnie for example 1000% definitely takes those touches and keeps the chance alive. Doesn't kill us stone dead.
It's so sad he's gone because he would be an absolute joy to watch in this team. Firmly believe that.
Not writing Moore off at all, just a slight concern. Suppose he spearheaded Ipswich in the second half of last season, but have we got a Hutchinson and a Chaplin playing like tramps on chips?
And it's alright saying we've got O'Hare and Hamer, but they had arguably the most complete striker to ever play in this division in Gyokores to play off and only made it to the play offs...
Work to be done, and hopefully this is just much ado about nothing by next weekend.
I think for a big man Moores's touch and hold-up play is very good just not as good as mcburine IMO
But finishing and pace Moore is better than OM
We couldn't really have had them both as they play the same role and both will want to be starting
I hope we don't shoehorn Moore as a starter every week without question though as Brewster has looked more than lively when given the chance this year for me id rotate the two of them
