I like Moore, really do.

But I'm a bit worried as to whether it was just match sharpness or if his touch is actually that bad. He ruined 2 or 3 really, really good opportunities the other day just by having a bad touch. When you're trying to play the style we are that player has to be a very good player with link up and in possession.

McBurnie for example 1000% definitely takes those touches and keeps the chance alive. Doesn't kill us stone dead.
It's so sad he's gone because he would be an absolute joy to watch in this team. Firmly believe that.

Not writing Moore off at all, just a slight concern. Suppose he spearheaded Ipswich in the second half of last season, but have we got a Hutchinson and a Chaplin playing like tramps on chips?
And it's alright saying we've got O'Hare and Hamer, but they had arguably the most complete striker to ever play in this division in Gyokores to play off and only made it to the play offs...

Work to be done, and hopefully this is just much ado about nothing by next weekend.

I think for a big man Moores's touch and hold-up play is very good just not as good as mcburine IMO

But finishing and pace Moore is better than OM

We couldn't really have had them both as they play the same role and both will want to be starting

I hope we don't shoehorn Moore as a starter every week without question though as Brewster has looked more than lively when given the chance this year for me id rotate the two of them

… repeat.

Really concerned about him. He doesn’t look like he suits what we’re trying to do at all.

He doesn’t move, doesn’t win headers, has a honking touch.

Of all the players that has to improve he’s at the very top.

I confess I only ever saw Moore play for Wales, but always thought he was a very average footballer. Those last two games in particular have reinforced that. We need more up there.

He looks like a poor man's Oli Mac. I'm worried about the lack of cover for this lad, he's well off it at the minute. I don't even think hes holding it up well.

Souza completely ineffective after the booking. Moore wasn’t played to his strengths, we desperately need some steel in midfield and a decent striker.

He’s not. Nor winning headers.

It’s okay saying we aren’t playing to his strengths, but he ain’t doing the basics either.

Poor 1st half.

Non existent 2nd (not all his fault as no service).

I recall he was a lot more physical and aerially dominant in games I’ve seen prior.

Been physically bullied in last 2 games. Looks only half fit or injured. Hopefully more to come.

The problem is he's currently having to play every minute. That should have never been the case. It was always obvious he wasn't going to be what we need 100% of the time

Someone with better footwork who can turn and run would be a better fit with our current attacking options

Not a great game for him but not as bad as many are making out either, won the most duels of any player today.

He is one of a number of players who is arguably not well suited to the system we are playing. It’s the same for Hamer and arguably the whole of the back 4.

On the plus side, one thing Moore does not seem to be doing is giving away as many fouls as McBurnie did, so there’s that.

How many did he lose? Because from where I was watching he hardly seemed to win anything.
Won 3/6 ground duels, 5/9 aerial duels, fouled twice and committed two fouls.

Sargent won 2/6 ground duels and 0/1 aerial duel, wasn't fouled and committed no fouls.

Looking back you know, we never seem to have done too well with a big front man, the little nippy Chappy who knows where the goal is has always been more our style ..... ;)
