They will sign the 'next' Peterborough lad to replace him if they don't go up. They may well keep him of rhey do go up.

Peterborough will likely want 10m plus but Brentford will pay it in anticipation of trebling their money.....again

Clarke-Harris will go elsewhere I reckon. He's 26, so not old but also not getting any younger. If he wants to kick on and play at the highest level, he needs to go to a club who are likely to be promotion contenders.

I'd love us to sign him. We'll chuck in Mousset and Burke purely out of the kindness of our hearts...

Reported brentford interested in nesbitt from hibs, thats who we should go for, ive never heard of him but brentfords scouting always seems to pick winners, so its a go get him from me

Exactly, why bother introducing a new recruitment model, when we can just be Brentfords, Aston Villa.

Job done!

Seems he’s been filmed in Dubai with a bird saying “fuck Brentford” and as if by magic that video finds its way onto social media

Not the first, won’t be the last, but it’s weird how offguard players are… and then find they need to apologise.

Shock as footballer shown to be not the sharpest tool in the box.

Preemptive strike by the looks of it from his advisers.

Despite him disputing some charges, clearly the rule is to put no bets on.

He's out some bets on. I suppose it is just the magnitude and perhaps the type of bet which might get him into trouble.

I'd assume he wasn't dim enough to lay a bet on any games or outcomes upon which he had an influence.

Either way, ignorance isn't an excuse. Not paying attention when advised you can't bet on matches shouldn't allow for any leniency. If it's going to be a tax on the thick and the lazy for not paying attention to such details they he gets what he deserves.

I work in Finance. I can't do just a bit of insider dealing or claim I wasn't aware of money laundering regulations. You do the crime...

Unsettling players when they refuse the meet the asking price? Its just Arsenal doing Arsenal things.

Wanting £17m a year in wages according to reports.

Don't see any teams in this country paying that.

Will end up in Saudi unless he drops his demands a bit.

He can join Andre Gray and Demarai Gray out there.

This guy is just grubby, betting scandal and these demands - if true….

What's wrong with the demands? He'll have parity with the PLs best, which he is one of.

Sterling's on about the same and isn't even in Chelseas team
I think where the issue lies is that Brentford stood by him, celebrated his return snd his England appearances and then he's stuck two fingers up at them and is demanding ridiculous cash while refusing to play

Oh I agree I was just responding to the amount he wants. It isn't unreasonable when you look at others.

However, he should have a bit more respect for the club and manager that looked after him throughout the scandal.

I'd argue it's unreasonable - played less than half a season of football because of his suspension, why on earth does he think he's worth that much?

By that logic, Tonali can demand similar too in a few months

Not trying to defend him by any means, but by all accounts he's on pretty low money by Premier League standards, and has spent most of his career in the lower divisions.

He's 28, and realistically this next move might be his last chance of a real mega money deal.

You can't blame him for trying to get the best deal.

Reading back through this thread, particularly the times when he was still at Newcastle/Peterborough, is an exact facsimile of the Osula thread, he's done nothing he'll never do anything etc etc

£17m for a 67goal, 1in 2, England international. Seems reasonable in a £300m competition. Good luck to him. It also shines a light on Brentford's moneyballing strategy, when someone bites back.

All I know is that him and nunez have fucked my. Fantasy league team two weeks running
