Pre-Match Press Conference:

Both sides ?
Nope. I foresee Dai the Gloves hesitating on a through ball as Robbo shields it, the two then going for it and colliding leading to a goal and Dai the Gloves being stretchered off and Grbic being No1 for the 6 weeks Dai is out.

honestly cant see us losing tonight most likely a draw but think we could just sneak it

Can only see this going one way. 1-3 Blades. Too much quality going forward against a side who have lost arguably their best player in Browne. A goal for Preston for two reasons. Not the strongest at the back yet and players will take time to get to know how each other prefer to play.

Win and you will be in the top 10. If there's enough draws which wouldn't be too much of a surprise you could well make it into the top 6.
Even if we win, top 6 with 1 point is a bit optimistic...even for us 😂

Important not to lose, a point would be a good result, while we’re still building and gelling.
Can see us struggling to break them down and conceding a couple of soft goals.

Why? Start of the season. Could be several draws. You get the win you're on 1 point but with a positive GD. You would be on top of every club that doesn't win. So minimum 12th place without any draws. Just 2 games ending in a draw has you in the top 10.

1 draw=2 teams end up below you. I know it's a big ask but 6 games ending in a draw puts you in 6th.

Have a bit of positivity 😁

They used to have the National Football Museum, tha’ knows, until Manchester nicked it.
It should be ours.

A win would be very important for us in instilling some self belief among players and fans after last season’s debacle, and in generating some early momentum. However, surely nobody will be looking seriously at league tables for a few weeks yet.

There were only three draws on the opening weekend last season.

Millwall won but were 9th with 3 points.

Obviously it's always about getting points but, at the beginning of every season I'm interested in the performance, how we set up. how we play, are we going for it playing attacking football with good ball retention, this season because of the amount of changes in the players and what formation we play even more so.
If we don't win I want us all talking about how good we looked because that is going to give us a good feeling for the future.
UTB going for a 0-2 win ,not sure regarding the performance, yet 🫰

I don't bother looking at the table anywhere near seriously until about 6 to 10 games into the season. But being away from the bottom would give a massive boost to the side.

I'll look at the table if we win.

If there were three draws then we couldn't be any higher than 10th.

That's why Millwall were 9th with 3 points.
Sorry but incorrect.

3 games draw. Puts you above 6 sides. 9 teams win including yourselves. You would be in 9th as only 8 other teams would win.
