CONFIRMED Harry Souttar joins on Season Long loan

His goal scoring record in league football is nothing special, but put on the Aussie shirt and he's scored 11 in 30 caps.

He’s scored v Nepal (twice), Bangladesh, Taiwan (3 times), Mexico, New Zealand, Indonesia, Palestine and Jordan.

I suspect that’s a lot of set piece goals v teams of short arses.

I saw him play in January v Syria. Australia won 1-0 and he wasn’t really tested.

My view on Anel's ability has been tainted from last season, I wouldn't trust him as he's always a conversation with his dad away from downing tools.

Absolutely.
I wanted him out (even) more than I did Souza.
But, there's either no buyer, nobody will offer us what we want, or he's not as good as his dad is telling him he is.
That said, in the Championship he was fantastic!! If Wilder can get his head straight he'll be our best defender again, including whoever we bring in on loan.

Not to my knowledge but if Gilchrist is touted to go there, then we can only see how that goes. From Wilders comments after Huddersfield it seems like Seriki won’t be starting there either.

I thought it was a bit weird because Souttar was only 14 at the time, but I'm not one to doubt my contact.

I don’t mind Robinson but do think people rate him for the fact he puts in aggressive tackles rather than his overall output as a defender. Eager to see Trusty at this level, meant to have been very good at Brum, probably got zero confidence at moment.

I think both are capable at Championship level. It's not like we have Iorfa or Diaby at CB.

Blaster and Hamer looked incredibly comfortable in the PL most of the time, as did Brooks in flashes.

Add in O'Hare and Slimane and I wouldn't say we are too bad for the Champ. We do need a solid CDM though, unless Souza is going to pull his finger out this season.
