Jesus Christ its not slagging off United how utterly neanderthal?

We are supporters through and through - but the place is run more like Ilkeston Town not Arsenal.

Last year we sold Ili and Berge 24 hrs before the season started it was a fucking disgrace. We learnt NOTHING.

This year we have a parachute monies (somewhere) but we can't scrape 3 million for a league 1 player.

It screams 'Tin Pot' - its so bad it almost physically hurts.

United are run badly from top to bottom if you can't see it - sorry you are blind.
We might have "parachute monies" but we also have a big cost base. Last year's income was around £120m and expenditure would have been somewhere between £95m and £120m. This year's income will be around £60m and the expenditure will be similar. There just isn't the spare cash people seem to assume there is.

Yes you do £45 mill season 1 / £30 mill season 2 - but nothing for season 3
£55m/£45m/£nil. I think (off the top of my head) it's 55% then 45% of the common share.

That home kit is an abomination.
Yes but what do you really think of it?

But we did not start our season until everyone else had a 4 week start on us, looks like we might repeat it this season to plus a 2 point behind everyone else to . Well done princy baby .
I'm not saying it was ideal, but, for context...

  • Ndiaye let us down, don't pin that on the board
    • This meant we had to scramble for a replacement we didn't think we needed - we got Archer eventually, 3 weeks later
  • Berge we tried to keep, similar to McBurnie. He said he wouldn't sign a new contract, so we cashed in on him to avoid losing him on a free... as has just happened with McBurnie
    • We announced Vini Souza the same day Burnley announced Berge (fees meant it was pretty much a straight swap)
      • We now have V. Souza, under contract until 2027 and worth money.
      • Had we kept Berge, we wouldn't have that luxury
  • We then announced Hamer on the eve of the season, 4 days after Berge was sold.
    • Again, equity in a player under contract until 2027. Someone i hope to god we don't sell

He isn’t a free agent so can’t sign a long term deal until pboro accept the payment structure which they must have to allow him to sign a deal with another team
Yes everything is accepted and agreed. Still needs our owner to put his signature on the bottom and send it to the EFL though. Which he hasn’t done.

Has the Peterborough chairman said it is us that has signed him or Leeds ?

I've heard they are recreating a football specific version of this film https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logistics_(film). It's called Medical
An epic journey from Peterborough to Sheffield. Fighting through hordes of posh fans angry at him leaving. As he approaches Sheffield he takes on the mighty ITK Kraken, fed by rancid meat from its “contacts at the club”.

The Kraken is slain but at a terrible cost to the brave Harrison Burrows. During the fight with the Kraken he tears his ACL and the deal is off…..

Possibly true but Prince won’t have agreed everything above if he feared something happening and he can’t pay it

So it’s likely just a case of us being slow but it’s done

Otherwise pboro would have pulled plug and be selling him somewhere else

Couldn’t afford the electricity bill to charge the camera and lights so had to order a portable charger off Amazon, but they couldn’t afford prime for next day delivery so it’s still in transit
But in all seriousness I’d say about 4pm we should know

You never know if these signings are all done and we're just waiting for the final details of the takeover to be approved. The new owners might want to announce the takeover with a number of the new signings being announced at the same time

I would argue that we signed Archer because we'd let Billy go and needed a replacement.
We signed Souza because Doyle had returned to Manchester City.
I agree that Hamer was basically swapped for Berge.

We never really tried to get anyone for Ndiaye, we just squandered a bit on Traore & Slimane. That was because we needed his fee to patch up other holes in our squad and hadn't got any money left over to replace him.

I mean, that's possible...

Ah bless you , so innocent .

For me it’s frustration. it isn’t just about this pre season. It’s a culmination beginning back at the embargo, the shit show of last years pre season transfer window, the utter embarrassment of our PL campaign and resulting from all that we appear to have learnt fk all because of how this transfer window is panning out. I look at where we are two weeks before the season kicks off and think WTF?

The Burrows saga is unfortunate if it has something to do with the takeover? I honestly have no idea, but it is getting frustrating that this is how a £100m business appears on the face of it at least at how it’s being run?

I've been one of those advocating patience and finding the same people moaning every day over the summer a bit tedious.

However, I think it's understandable that on top of all those things you mention, that with the opening game so close and still so many unknowns and uncertainties, that fans are now a bit restless.

We've got no option but to wait and see, but I don't think it's unreasonable that some fans aren't confident all will be well.
