It was a generalisation about how United operate at times in general (and was in response to a post about some United fans just wanting to moan about the club constantly, which was also a generalisation on their part). I know fuck all about the Harrison Burrows transfer saga other than it has seemingly, taken a while to complete. OK?

It’s not “United” that’s behaving like dicks? It’s the owners and management of “United”.

It’s just semantics in wording that’s causing the usual blade-on-blade phase of the transfer window / season start with the added complication of a takeover.

Can understand mattbianco1 point but the frustrated posters are I think having a go at the people running “United” not “United” itself.

There’s never been a more relevant time for forum member to take a breath and say we’re all blades! Remember, when you read a post about tekkova or delays, or debt/payments etc replace the word United with the owner(s) and management of “United” and people will stop the growing number of arguments and name calling clogging up debate and information sharing.

Always remember, KMc is a bigger Blade than all of us.

I suppose that is true re the owners and not 'United' the club itself. But as the owners own the club...

It's a bit like me walking through the door to say to my lads ' I see United have scored'. Well the club hasn't scored, a player representing the club has. I'll be sure to make sure I reflect that in future comments as I walk through the door. 😄

We are supporters through and through - but the place is run more like Ilkeston Town not Arsenal.

Last year we sold Ili and Berge 24 hrs before the season started it was a fucking disgrace. We learnt NOTHING.

This year we have a parachute monies (somewhere) but we can't scrape 3 million for a league 1 player.

It screams 'Tin Pot' - its so bad it almost physically hurts.

United are run badly from top to bottom if you can't see it - sorry you are blind.

How do you know that the reason Burrows hasn’t signed is because “we can’t scrape 3 million for a league one player”?

Of course I don't know that but its probably a good 'educated guess' based on years and years of nonsense from United.

Anyone thats any good goes even quicker.

We can start the season with a 2 point deduction and still some won't have anything negative said about the 'club' [that should be owners].

There's loyalty and that's commendable as a fan, but then there is blind loyalty and sticking your head in the sand like an Ostrich. Some would have been in Nelsons navy and been defending the Captain still, as he drove the ship onto the rocks by sailing too close to shore.

I think that was what I was getting at with my poll. I feel the prince often surprises with something better (last year excepted, which was a sh*tshow really). I wouldn’t be surprised if money isn’t the issue and Worral turns up.

Even if HB doesn’t show, or goes to Leeds, or whatever then there could be a myriad of reasons before this one. Fingers crossed it doesn’t come to this.

You don’t get parachute payments for one season in the prem (as far as I know)

Who knows really. But we are one of the few clubs fortunate enough to have the financial muscle that parachute payments affords us. We should be able to blow other clubs out of the water on terms, wages etc.

I understand in that context, with memories of last summers disaster and given the number of outgoing players, that being two weeks from the start of the season with so much to do fans are going to start getting inpatient.
 
Are there any rumours either way?
The failed medical ones are obviously just guesses with how long it's taking but it's not like the Leeds link has built up either, so where do we actually stand?

An educated guess could also be that the Peterborough owner is a massive bellend and he’s starting to move the goalposts at the last minute.

It’s nice if the club can get the business done early and quickly but being realistic, that’s never going to be the case.

I just wait until the transfer window has closed and judge things then, no point getting pissed off with what might and might not happen.
