So he’s just pulled about £8-9m in through sales, spent some on Moore and salaries on the other 3, why would PA need guarantees? Surely there’s enough left from sales to sign Burrows without the need to be looking for assistance from potential new owners?

I’m missing something obviously?
If you'd agreed to sell your house for £100k and the incumbent buyer then asked you to spend £3k on a renovations, how would you respond?

PA doesn't want to commit any more dough would be my thoughts?

Then what on earth is he doing getting the lad down for a medical? Just stay quiet

It's his money, he could piss it up the wall if he chooses. You're assuming that £9M has dropped in the bank in one transaction as well. That might not all be paid until after takeover.

We've borrowed against a lot of future income already...

Also, you confidently said he'd already signed..

£9m in sales. But cannot find £3m 🤔
How do you know that we actually have £9m in the bank now?
One of the problems with the Burrows transfer was supposed to be the 'structure' of the payments.
Maybe WE haven't got the cash in the bank yet that Peterborough want in THEIR bank?

Suspect the real problem is no-one wants Anel or Vini and expected income is much lower than expected.
That said the wage bill must be substantially lower and we aren't talking about a huge fee.
Can't see how the owner would be spending any of his own money on a transfer.

Takes us ages to bring players in but they’re gone within 48 hours when leaving. We are a such a poorly run club at the moment. Yes, Leeds were in a similar position last year because of a takeover. But you just know we’d be here without a pending takeover - because the Prince and his mob are potless and careless pricks. To be this thin as a squad with two weeks to go is unprofessional and incompetent.
Aye
Remind me how protracted the (other) 4 signings have been ?
For (some) balance Bogle has described that he was aware of Leeds ‘interest “a few weeks ago but it appears we ‘held out’ for a higher fee - similar suggestion / story re Traore?

We don’t have £9m in the bank now it arrives in instalments, I understand that, just as we buy a player and pay for it in instalments. But he’s generated £9m in sales, so what I’m saying is he’s not spent that sort of money to date (either in instalments or otherwise)

Which is why alot of clubs take out a loan for the amount of future generated income from sales..So even if in installments can still spend it.

I can't work out why there's such a delay either.

Most transfers are paid by instalments, and we've got the £60m of parachute money coming in. Surely if it's £3m or a % of £3m we've got the cash?

We were on the bones of our arse when we went up, spent last summer grovelling around Europe for cheap players, freebies, loans and players who could be bought in instalments (Souza), as well as recouping serious cash on two of our assets.

We had one of the lowest wage bills in the EPL, despite having the sky money. We spend next to nothing in January (BBD as a loan, and Garbage who I suspect Athletico offered interest free instalments on to shift him).

We have allegedly borrowed against the £60m (goodness knows what for, we aren't buying anyone and we must have already reduced the lowest wage bill significantly).

Scroll forward to this summer, we release and sell 14 players, most of these are the big earners (Egan, McUseless etc), sell a couple, so wage bill reduced further, and transfer money in.

We've signed 4 players, all on free transfers, and we can't cobble together £3m or a part thereof to buy a league one player.

It really is a shitshow.

I'm not accusing the Prince of pocketing the cash, but seriously, where has all the money (and our lines of credit gone? This Burrows saga is an example of our Clubs woes over the last 2-3 years.

We’re “borrowing against £60m” because we haven’t got £60m. You don’t get relegated then instantly given your parachute money upfront. We’ve not logged in to online banking on fixtures day and seen “£30m from EPL” in our monies in column.

Is that the case here then ?

So you're telling me it's not gone on private jets and polo shirts?

We are not paying transfer money in one big payment either.

In the words of blackadder the Prince has ‘seen it pinched it spent it’
