It’s getting boring now.

Club really doesn’t help itself. I don’t care what anyone says we really do appear to be extremely slow at getting signings over the line and completed.

It has to be something to do with the administration team at the club.
 

Not even like all the players we’ve been linked with are at clubs, some of them are free agents.

Don’t believe for a second any player worth signing is there thinking “tell you what I’ll sit on my arse and be out of shape for the start of the season and wait until deadline day to sign for someone”

Admittedly it isn't exactly where we need to be, but that first 11 at Preston makes it a winnable game.
I think 2 or 3 will leave and 5 or 6 will come in.

The biggest problem I see is injuries at the start of the season, too many players coming in late with not enough of a pre-season.

45% needed, 55% sorted. I reckon on balance we have a decent 11. Even if we’ll be playing players in unfamiliar positions out wide etc. The reason I see us at the figure is that a few injuries means we have to field totally unproven players.
 
Takes us ages to bring players in but they’re gone within 48 hours when leaving. We are a such a poorly run club at the moment. Yes, Leeds were in a similar position last year because of a takeover. But you just know we’d be here without a pending takeover - because the Prince and his mob are potless and careless pricks. To be this thin as a squad with two weeks to go is unprofessional and incompetent.

I wouldn’t say Coulibaly, for example, has exactly been “gone within 48 hours”.

I thought the sales of bogle and traore was the reason we could do the deal, can’t say I take notice of other teams but is it only us as a club that behaves this way when doing transfers 🤔
 
It's not great is it. By this stage, I did expect another 3 or 4 through the door especially after we are about 16 players down. I wasn't expecting us to be the finished article until the end of the window but to have not signed a keeper, a big centre half, and a right back (to replace Baldock even before Bogle went) is now looking very unprofessional.

The old 'fingers crossed as we expect something to happen in the next 48 hours' mantra is starting to wear a bit thin with 2 weeks to kick off. Sick of being linked to umpteen players. Can we start actually signing some now please United, preferably pronto.

The youngsters should be the icing on the cake, not the base. Hopefully we announce a couple tomorrow but with United, tomorrow never ever seems to come.
 
Who the hell would make up signings 2 & 3?? We’d have some kind of idea and Nixon would be dropping names.

I’m sure some other clubs suffer same but we are set up appallingly for a club that’s been in the prem 3 years out of 5 and have the benefit of 4 years of parachute payments to boot .

The infrastructure and planning despite suffering terribly last season is shocking In my opinion.

It’s all hand to mouth stuff

And imo down to one man

I don't think we're anywhere near as thin as last season, the first 11 we can throw iut is competitive bearing on strong

Ohare Moore Osula gives Preston a very tough game just a weak bench really relying on the kids plus Dozzell
