In short, it's because those that are saying sell Rammers for any bid we get, cash in on Berge for anything over £5m etc etc don't understand the market values or what they are looking at. See also Anel.
They rate things such as heart, and effort highly, seemingly to care about the club and professionalism should be a given.
That's not the real world and do not denote the worth of a player.
I'm actually not sure we did purchase him for £10m but that aside, because while you may perceive that he's had a shocking season others didn't see that.
His stats were quite impressive, on paper and in completely woeful side. He's not lost his technical background or upbringing, and he will get a lot of leeway because of our disorganisation and the fact that no-one would have performed consistently well given the banter club we were.
Wilder get's stick for actively targeting the right characters with the right personality traits and I think that is important to our club and our fans.
Players taking it easy, blaming others and throwing in the towel because it's tough isn't necessarily an issue unless you're getting pumped week in week out, and at most clubs that doesn't happen.
As I said above wrong player, at the wrong club at the wrong time. I do still think he'll generally play out his career at a higher level than we generally have managed for the past 20 years.
