Not sure what’s going on with this lad, but if he’s like the others who don’t want to sign renewals, here’s my thoughts

I just wondered why Hecky had to my knowledge not been quizzed on his availability and for that matter what was happening with his and others contract renewalsHecky was asked about the alleged freezing out of Berge, for refusing to sign a new deal, and he said categorically that he would not allow anyone to be treated like that. Then again he did add in a qualifying statement along the lines of "if other discussions have taken place that I am not party too, then I can't really say.." or words to that effect. Personally I do think this freezing out business is nonsense though.

Like I said in the shoutbox this morning. Tallying it up with the public well wishes on social media from fellow players the other week, I hope it isn't too serious.
After reading the social media posts I said on here maybe it’s Covid, I said that because the well wishes made it sound like a illness and not injury. Doubt very much it’s Covid now but I hope it’s nothing too serious and he’s well soon because he’s gonna be a big player for us.Like I said in the shoutbox this morning. Hope he’s well and we can get a contract signed too.I know it’s all very well intended, and am not having a go, but I suggest that we all stop speculating, and wish the lad a full and speedy recovery. He will be getting the best available treatment, and he couldn’t want a better shield than Heckingbottom.
Good move for him, he now needs to deliver
Crikey. I don't rate him at all but I wouldn't put it like that.Good riddance
Same. I’m not fussed to see him go, and regardless of what his potential might be he was never going to realise it with us for a number of reasons. But equally, I’m not angry about him leaving. I hope he finds what he’s looking for at Bournemouth.Crikey. I don't rate him at all but I wouldn't put it like that.

Sums it up perfectly, 20 years ago Bournemouth were going through their administration business quite well and getting relegated because of it. I am not quite sure how the tribunal would have valued him at but for us its a win as he wanted out. If he doesn't work out for them, its not the end of the world plus the deal will probably have extras should he move on in any case. Good deal all aroundTo Bournemouth the £1.5M is nothing , they can afford for him to be a flop or alternatively they got a potentially a good prospect on the cheap . I stand in mid ground with Jebbison , haven’t seen him cut it Championship level yet never mind the PL , but you have to factor in that he is still young . We’ll see how things go .. wonder if Keifer Moore is coming our way then ?
In today's market given his age and experience, in the sense he has played in the Premier League and England youth level/Canada Squad (take a pick!) and only 20 you would say it is a bit of a steal at £1.5 million. But for me on the flip side he hasn't done anything in a over a year since he was at League 1 Burton, if we were picking up a player say from Burton that hadn't played in a year, no real idea of fitness due to being out injured or ability (there is obvious some there but he isn't the finished article) and the fee was disclosed at £1.5 million there would be complaints on here all over the place.Bit of an embarrassing price tag if you ask me but nobody ever does.
