Deffo pal , clubs communication on all matters is absolutely comical
Sign of the new owners?

You know. Given that last summer couldn't be much worse? All comms thru the Prince's accountant mate on twitter. Shambolic.

I'm still quite relaxed about our situation and whilst I'm eager to find our what's happening with everything, I still pretty patient all things considered.

However, I do feel the club's communication on some matters, particularly regarding players, has at times been disappointing over the last year or so.

It's bad enough having a supposed mate of the owner acting like some unofficial mouthpiece but we've had players and canteen staff breaking news about key players and staff leaving. You can say that's the individual's fault rather than the club but it still paints a picture for me about internal messaging and communication.

Egan struggles against big guys up front and over the top balls so won’t do well so is what it is

Interesting that 10 days ago he was posting about looking forward to the new season with pics at shirecliffe in blades kit.

To now be leaving. Guess he wants a premier league deal, which is fair enough
Or it's another takeover related thing?

Either way, we seem an absolute fuckin shambles atm

Even as an aging back-up player we'd surely have been looking to keep a top quality pro like Egan. I recon it's one of 2 things-

1: His injury has meant we're not confident of him being able to justify a new contract
2: He believes he can get a better deal elsewhere and has left for financial reasons (See Wes).

If you are future owners then letting Egan go is probably the wise thing to do.

A quality player who’s performances on and off the pitch are synonymous with some of my best times following United. A huge loss to the club and hopefully one we see again even if it’s just in the stands watching on.

I love the guy though. Not a single bad word to say about him. Responsible for the best pissed up song ever. A proper centre back.

Age, injury issues and being out of contract have obviously combined to make letting him go a bit easier for the club.

He won't be fit for at least another 4 months. Personally I don't think we can wait 4 months 🤔
Was just saying this to a mate. I've heard from a solid source that he's still out til Christmas time at least so can understand why if we're in rebuild mode were not giving him a new deal.

The optics are awful, but behind that, it seems to be the right choice based on where he and we are right now....

GLTTL. A mainstay for much of the time. Sadly injuries are now a worry and the thinking must be we need players who aren’t missing for a couple of months each season. Can’t see a PL contract for him but all the best if he does, or wherever.

He probably just wants a deal full stop and we're still dicking about.

I'm sure he can afford to go a couple of weeks without any income but he either doesn't want to or has been forced to. Either of those scenarios piss me off!

This is terrible man no George or John. But Chris is still here but guess what its not Basham, its Wilder. Wtf

I’d rather not speculate on it being a shambles.

Should get some info on the investment in the coming week and it’ll be interesting to find out if what I’ve heard 2nd/3rd hand is indeed correct.

About the takeover? Or about players

You're going to leave it like that aren't you?
