Honestly. Looking at the utter cluster fuck of last season, and this current off-season seems headed in the same direction, why the hell would/should he stick around? Even the Bladeiest of McBladies would be certifiably insane to turn down other offers to stay here.
Build the side around him? We couldn't build a Duplo Lego Set.... Those saying he's taking the piss etc - look at us. Seriously, look at where we are from an infrastructure perspective, strategy perspective, squad development perspective.
Every performance indicator says we're fucked...
I don't get that mate. But fair enough. No good luck to him from me. He and his dickhead agent can go fuck themselves with a pineapple for all I care now. He let Marseille and his scummy agent manipulate him when he had all but signed a new deal with us.
The cynic in me thinks this was all planned anyway, a quick stint at OM and then fuck off to the PL. We were just in the way and stopping his agent coining more money the longer he stayed with us.
Its like wanting your ex bird to be happy when she fooks off with someone elseI don't get that mate. But fair enough.
Sounds like pure emotion rather than logic.
Yeah I might be gutted, but taking a moment to think logically: I'm incredibly tight and bad in bed - of course she's gone. Its like wanting your ex bird to be happy when she fooks off with someone else![]()
Not that I think we could afford him, but did we put a first refusal in the terms when we sold him? I'm sure I read that somewhere.

Our fans sang his name and idolised him but our chairman fucked him about until he signed his first contract then proceeded to lowball him with the next one.
Two sides to every story and we’ve only heard the Prince of Bullshit and his mate The Snake. I personally believe very little that either of them come out with.
Maybe if we’d offered him that when it was clear we’d got promoted he’d have signed it and not fucked us around. What I suspect happened is that we took advantage of the £4k a week he was reportedly on and offered him a much lower multiple of that to renew. He realised he could get much more elsewhere and then his agent did the rest.I was told by someone with connections inside the club that we offered Ndiaye around £85k per week, by far the biggest contract in the club’s history. This was the deal he was agreed to sign before doing the last minute U-turn. Just what I was told, but I have no reason to not believe it.
If we did I'd imagine it was along the lines of £85k a week so long as we retained PL status. He probably saw Traore and Slimane and looked at Tom Little's Pre Season Schedule and thought there's no way this lot are staying up!Maybe if we’d offered him that when it was clear we’d got promoted he’d have signed it and not fucked us around. I very much doubt we offered him £85k a week though.
Didn’t realise Graves had upgraded to Desso UEFA sized pitches. My lad had a game at Shirecliffe last week and the facilities are no better than those at Graves/SGP.
Curious to know as outsider looking in how much of a roll your owner played in him leaving?
Find it hard to believe after a season of getting into the PL he wouldn't have at least give it a season with your mob regardless if Marseille come calling or not?
I’d say bollocks to you if that’s the way you want to treat me before I’ve even signed. If you’re like that when you’re trying to recruit me, what would you be like if I was your employee? And now if I tell you this is your only chance to ever play for us? Take it or leave it. Need your answer in half an hour or we'll sign someone else.
Which is why he made his bed and lay in it to his Agent’s advantage and why as far as I am concerned he can go fuck himself for ever more. Hope he fails at Everton and he is relegated. Vindictive? Moi?He was apparently offered the biggest contract in our clubs history and invited out to the owners house. This contract was all verbally agreed and a social media announcement video was filmed with Billy Sharp handing him his own shirt number.
Marseille was his boyhood club who apparently emotionally blackmailed him as their chairman swore to him that if he did not sign last summer he would never play for the club while he was in charge. A one time offer take it or leave it. So he decided to go.
They’ve then changed manager multiple times and tried to use him as a winger. He’s not blisteringly quick and was at his best when playing in a free role more centrally for us. He’s one of the most talented players we’ve ever had in terms of ball retention, dribbling and work rate. I would say his finishing leaves a little to be desired at times though as does his decision making as to when to hold the ball or release a team mate as he does sometimes overplay and run down a blind alley. Hes brilliantly entertaining to watch though.
Probably time to get over itPure emotion was him letting himself get emotionally blackmailed by Marseille and his agent with a now or never move. Which obviously was the right level of emotional bullshit for him to do U-turn on us.
Thanks mateHe was apparently offered the biggest contract in our clubs history and invited out to the owners house. This contract was all verbally agreed and a social media announcement video was filmed with Billy Sharp handing him his own shirt number.

One reason could be the amount ? Well over £4m in a year paid by United !!!!!!I was told by someone with connections inside the club that we offered Ndiaye around £85k per week, by far the biggest contract in the club’s history. This was the deal he was agreed to sign before doing the last minute U-turn. Just what I was told, but I have no reason to not believe it.
Has Shirecliffe got an animal farm though?Didn’t realise Graves had upgraded to Desso UEFA sized pitches.
It’s got the Shirecliffe estate directly outside, so I guess it has.Has Shirecliffe got an animal farm though?
If Bettis and co couldn’t get this done within a couple of weeks of beating West Brom, then we should have been accepting and moving on.And it’s stuff like this happening that should stop you from allowing a player to move on his timetable rather than yours and screw up your plans at the last minute.
We really got hosed there.
We are opposite ends to the same spectrum as you.Curious to know as outsider looking in how much of a roll your owner played in him leaving?

We were as dead as a Dodo as soon as Ndiah and Berge left and probably would still have been relegated if they had stayed. If Bettis and co couldn’t get this done within a couple of weeks of beating West Brom, then we should have been accepting and moving on.
The whole dragged out affair was amateurish and the fact we’d started doing videos before the ink was dry shows what a naive bunch we were.
At that point, Hecky lost his job. He seemed to acknowledge very little that we couldn’t play the same way and should in his mind have long been thinking of plan B whilst Iliman’s negotiations were not settled.
In my view, we should have either played 5-4-1 and accepted we’d need to spoil games, and had pace out wide to counter-attack or we should have attempted to get a 10 and kept an extra body in midfield.
The way we went about it was almost as if we were resigned to relegation from kick off and were just going through the motions.
Surely that also played a part in the delayed recruitment, that there was only plan A of Iliman and nothing else would do.
I sometimes think with all the time and energy going into modern scouting with analytics etc that the basic fundamentals must have been lost.
A Manager should be able to approach the Chief Scout and be given 6 or more names of players in each position who would be appropriate for a given budget should you need to recruit.
If the answer was “none, Boss” to replace Iliman then they’re in the wrong job.
Without even being that creative two options - 1. You play McAtee in Iliman’s role and you recruit an extra body in midfield. 2. You buy the Boro forward line.
In the latter case there were long delays before Akpom headed to Ajax. If we’d been decisive we could have got him. We were probably more obsessed with daft things like resale value than actually having a good team. We’d have been in a far better spot with those two together than monies on Slimane, Traore and Trusty.
Either way, as per usual, we come out of the land of milk and honey with very little to show for it and a manager expected to build on a budget.
