I know we’ve just had the worst PL season, England aren’t looking any too cracky, but why would you want to go back 60+ years to the age of the neanderthals? I followed United home and away since 1964, and apart from a Titleist 65 on my nut at the Lane from a City fan, never a moment of trouble - being 6’4” and 16 stone probably helped there.

Not a time to be celebrated.

What's size and weight got to do with owt ?
The minute you got off the train you were a target , myself I like real ales and search out real ale pubs at away games, sometimes you pick a good boozer other times you get trouble.
I'm going back in the day not now, back then it was about taking ends and greeting committee waiting for you .
I watched blades youth team at aldershot a few years ago with a few good blades and we had grief to a point we cancelled the hotel and came home after.
I was in sheffield last weekend with the Mrs and saw a bloke get sparked clean out .
I'm 56 almost I cause no trouble, football and boxing are my life's not trouble but back in the day you knew where it was going to happen

Went everywhere with the blades and did there own things .
Manor ground Oxford the year blades invaded the pitch was mostly Kiveton lead by granny another blades who's passed .

I travelled once on the suicide squad bus .
Just the only bus I could get on and went from Spittal hill from memory.
An interesting day out is all I'll say.
Once was enough but good to know some are still in the land of the living and not incarcerated which is pretty remarkable.

It’s a mixture, some suicide there but mainly bbc that day. Pretty sure that’s Sully in the white jumper checked collar centre of pic behind punches.

I'm in mid 50s ,adopted 2 kids 10 years ago last thing I look for in life is trouble.
I'm speaking from how it was years ago .
You didn't have to find trouble back then but it sure found you.
I went 32 years not missing a game at the lane , 16 + away and all pre -season allover so trouble would find you at points.
I travel up with my step daughter now, she's mixed race and hears dickheads calling blacks .
Back in the 80s early 80s you got caught in trouble .
I didn't go by car I went by train.

Remember going when we drew 3-3 under Bassett....week that there was a scandal in Middlesbrough about kids having to go into care or something, all match Blades fans taunting them about.....I was quite relieved when they equalised as they were definitely not happy bunnies
