Erm where did I mention snooker ?

Lol 😆 🤣
The post you replied to was about them chucking snooker balls, you said it was because they were the only ones to not stay down. That's pool.
Doesn't matter really. I'd imagine either sting.

Saw Craig in the airport a few weeks back but forgot to take his number when we spoke. If someone’s got it could you send it to me privately please because me and my lad are gonna go with him next season?
PM me mate. My fathers best mates with craig and my dads from birdwell 👍

I went to that game with Swainey, went by coach. The clock end suicide squad had a bit of a go. I had to explain to a copper I was from Sheffield (posh accent you see - public school - lol). The Blades played in the Brown and Yellow and we lost one - nil. If a remember correctly Alan Sunderland scored? But some on here refer to me as a pig...............................................really?
It was 2 0 pig 😀😀😀

strange thing that day bert boros lads didnt come on to their own end till 2.45pm and then all hell broke loose but there were at least 2k blades on that end that day most violent game for objects being thrown was the september derby in 67 with wednesday coins bricks and tin cans were flying through the air that day on the shoreham started i have to say by united fans wednesday tried to get up the middle steps of the kop that day 3 times but failed miserably and only got on the shoreham via the spiral steps in the corner and then protected all game by a line of police pity lanky ritchie won the game for wednesday with far post header at the lane end
Always loved the Derbys at the Sty when Blades fans would get on and take the Kop centre above the barriers and the pigs would try to get it back but never did.

Didn’t need to look up mate 1 0 at 90 mins and 2 0 AET.

Thing is I remember that but ask me about a random game from the 2000’s and I’d struggle

Indeed actually, it was in the Old League Cup our trip to Arsenal in 1981. The game was won by The Arsenal 2-0 with goals from Alan Sunderland and Willie Young. It was the 2nd round 2nd leg after drawing 1-1 at the Lane. 43 years ago........................wow.

Another Porker who knows more about us than his own club!

I tend to try and not remember any game Dean Hammond 'played' in (and i use the word played with a whiff of sarcasm) lol

1-0 at The Lane. Bob Hatton the scorer. 1-0 at Highbury after 90 minutes and lost in extra time.

Wasn't Keith Edward's cup tied so couldn't play, I seem to remember we played really well but had no outlet up front, just an ageing Hatton who didn't get much service.

I can remember it being Keith Waugh’s birthday at Arsenal and the away end singing “Happy Birthday” (Altered Images version) 😀

Didn’t we win 1-0 at home?
Edit: someone else said that already

And that, was it a 'Cantors' sponsored kit in Brown and Yellow, looked like a banana that was going off. Did like it thou

Remember arsenal away that night very well.
81/82 was first season my parents let me travel away on my own . Night game and had school next morning .
Remember some trips back then and getting adopted by older blades .
I was 14 but went allover on football specials .
My paperound money x 3 rounds paid for the trips .
Hartlepool was dodgy back then but not now , tranmere was rough back then but not now .Scunthorpe the women who was punching blades at the old show ground .
Colchester the 5-2 defeat I just got home for it yo be on match of the day .
Port Vale was rough that year but blades took over and Edwards goal sublime .
I went to school with the woodthorpe lad who robbed the tannoy announcer of his records that day .
York the 4-3 win , ended up on the pitch

The white ball that was thrown at Bert's head at Middlesbrough in 1971 was a billiard ball, Bert noted the black spot on it as it flew past his left ear.
loveWalrusDavetheBlade seeks to congratulate Bert on his remarkable powers of observation, even under the duress of bombardment. He wonders whether Bert’s exceptional acuity extended to observation of a brief white flash from the opposing terrace, immediately prior to arrival of the billiard ball, consistent with that of a freshly laundered Butler’s glove engaged in the process of launching said projectile from deep within the cover of the seething Middlesbrough hordes? In that event, then presumably Bert, on return to his main residence, could have instructed his housekeeper to conduct a swift but thorough inventory of Bert’s billiard room, so establishing compelling and durable evidence of criminal guilt?

Asking for a friend.

The next one after 68 was our promotion season 70/71. Pigs came on Kop and got chased off. South Yorkshire finest escorted them back on and we were side by side for the duration of the game separated by a thin blue line. As a young skin head it was surreal being amongst a group of Blades greasers from Rawmarsh shouting abuse at those in blue and white some of them fellow skin heads from where I lived. Another day and walking down the street we would have been battling with the greasers but this was the tribal dividing line between the red and blue half of Sheffield. In the return at the sty a boring 0-0 draw I went at the last minute with my new girlfriend on their Kop. Blades were in top corner again. We got promoted and I moved onto new relationships. Heady days to follow being at the top of Division 1, going on holiday with the mates to Great Yarmouth meeting up with London skin heads, discussing fashion, music and young ladies.

We didn't meet the Pigs again until that dreadful day in 1979 when ticketing and segregation kicked in and the taking of Kops in the 60s/70s drifted into folklore.

I was at the sty in 79 but 11 year old
Segregation happened but when we won there 3-1 the Bobby Davidson feast we absolutely had 3 sides of the ground at hillsboro .

theres a section in ronnie sharpes book about that 70 october derby at the lane about our skinheads battling their greasers and our greasers battling their skinheads was always strange back in the late 60s early 70s on the shoreham hundreds of skinheads and hundreds of greasers lol but their certainly were more wednesday fans on the shoreham that day than in the 67 derby police saved em that day or they would have got battered the only other league game i can remember em being on the shoreham was april 80 in the bottom left hand corner once again protected by a ring of police anthony cronshaw claims in his book there were 5k on kop that day but nowt like it maybe 500 tops and once again they were lucky to get off unscathed
