You’re only allowed those if you’ve been in 45 inter-firm scraps, and they have to be notarised by an official hooliganism historian.
You’ll have to ask a hooliganism historian, mate. I’m out of my depth.Does being chased at high speed by opposition fans whilst screaming like a big girly girl count as being in a scrap?
If you can be bothered ffffg technology!A few years ago. left a phone in a taxi when I was pissed in London. I could track it to the location in the taxi the next day when I realised. Called the taxi company but it must’ve been passed on.
Caught train home, using ticket on email on iPad. Went to Apple Store in Meadowhell and Vodafone for new sim. Within 24 hours I had everything back on new phone, could’ve been less if I’d done it in London
I get that some people won’t want to use it and no issue with that.If you can be bothered ffffg technology!
Me too.Just had this email concerning season tickets
It’s exactly what I was told when I renewed by phone, to be fair.Me too.
Hopefully most haven't chucked out their season ticket cards if they're in the same seat and band.
Not great messaging from the off as this thread shows.
Within 24 hours I had everything back on new phone,
So the ticket office won’t replace it then?So only missed the one game then.
Think they've done that already if you keep the same seat. Why not just reactivate our existing season card, or issue new ones to newcomers a well as phone ones for those who want to use this entry device
Whilst in any retail unit views are subjective I feel obliged to say that in all my dealings with the ticket office over many years they have always been friendly, helpful and efficient.I think the lower management at the lane are so amateur it's unbelievable .and it's a recurring thing
Will probably be the same as adding any other card or ticket to your google or apple wallet, probably just an email with a big button to "add to wallet" and you're done. The phone may need to install “something” in order for it to work, but the instructions will no doubt be simple to install, so once done it shouldn’t be an issue at all.
And, indeed, the situation for season ticket holders for the coming season is now clear ( many weeks in advance of the first game), and the solution through which it has been delivered is efficient and sensible.Whilst in any retail unit views are subjective I feel obliged to say that in all my dealings with the ticket office over many years they have always been friendly, helpful and efficient.
Why is the assumption that if you lost battery or your phone you couldn’t get in? If you turn up on matchday without your season ticket you can still go to the ticket office and they’ll print you one out. How is this any different?A few years ago. left a phone in a taxi when I was pissed in London. I could track it to the location in the taxi the next day when I realised. Hopefully fans stop acting like cunts and sit in their own seats so it’s not necessary but I don’t hold out much hope. Will the stewards on KOP be asking to see our phones or can we stand where we want again..
Do not be baffled by the difficulties faced by people and technology change. Why is the assumption that if you lost battery or your phone you couldn’t get in? The mutters and grumbles about this move to a cheaper, more modern approach already in place in many examples within the industry is truly baffling me.
I agree with what you say - and I’m in the same boat is some respects. Luckily, the club have recognised this up front, and has given us all the option of choosing the method that works best for us individually. I’m sure that they will continue in this vein moving forwards.Do not be baffled by the difficulties faced by people and technology change.
As I approach 80 I find that situations which were routine to me 5 years ago are a little more challenging now. If I find it more comfortable to have a card than use a smartphone then that is a choice that the club have given me.
If in a year or so there is some other format to use then I will have to cope !!
The stewards at the top of each gangway will have scanners to check your mobile phone ticketWill the stewards on KOP be asking to see our phones or can we stand where we want again..
It’s not the challenge of change, that I understood, its the outrage that we saw when it was first communicated. Obviously they weren’t going to make everyone comply and there would be an alternate. Just as there is an alternate now if you lose/forget your card. Folk initially getting on their high horse principally because we’d dared changed something was daft. This obviously going to be a cheaper option so should be implemented where it can.Do not be baffled by the difficulties faced by people and technology change.

You won’t be, #ITK![]()
No new card neededThey aren’t activated by default. You have to request a card specifically now. Otherwise you’re going down the smart phone route.
Just in case you didn’t know![]()

As you have advised us that you do not have access to a smartphone, below is an update regarding your 24/25 season card.
If you have not moved into a new price band or your seat has not changed, your existing card has now been reactivated.
For those supporters who are new season ticket holders, have moved seats or changed price categories, a new card is on its way.
