I just can't see this. I want it, I think it's a really smart signing for a very talented player but with the takeover I just can't see it
We have to sign players regardless. The argument for me is the budget. Can we make “decent” purchases with a relatively small kitty? I’m hoping the club have lined up Souza and/or Anel out the door to swell the coffers?

It'll be my first piss and moan of the Summer if we don't get this lad now. Excacly the sort of signing we need to be making. Hope Peelo comes good on this.

If we were to sign a player at this time, at considerable expense, with the ongoing takeover uncertainty, then it wouldn't surprise me if it was a left back given the shambles we endured in that position last season

It should have been one of the priorities last summer. Top 2 or 3. We didn't treat it as such, and paid the price

Wilder will know full well how vital this position is, especially if we're to continue with 3-5-2. Maybe those above him at the club have realised this too. As well as potentially Des Taylor and the prospective new owners

Refuse to believe we’re gonna make any ‘big money’ signings like this before takeover confirmed. Happy to be proved wrong though.

Hecky signed 2 LWBs so they knew it was a priority!

They intended for Larouci to be the only signing there. That said it all. Only when he looked to be playing about 4 leagues above his ability level did they bother to sign another..... and given that other was Luke Thomas, they still clearly weren't taking the position seriously

LCB as well..... at least one of those two positions on the left needed to be strong. That....... wasn't the case. For Robinson to be our rock in that area of the team, in the PL, was criminal

Yep - we obviously needed plenty even before Ndiaye/Berge leaving, but LWB was very high on that list. It was a weakness in our Championship side, never mind going up a level. In hindsight, we can see that we spent fuck all, but we still needed a better investment there than Larouci.

In fact, signing Larouci is literally proof of the phrase 'buy cheap, buy twice'.

Part of me is excited, part of me is very cynical about our left backs post covid and I’m expecting him to turn out to be Chris Hussey.

Bogle and Burrows would be a very attacking pair of wing backs. Which would make us a very attacking team. At least if Hamer and Arblaster are two of the midfield. It could be a different type of team to anything we've had before, with goals galore
