Interested to see the photo of Bob Widdowson, brings back memories of watching him many times in the reserves. With us a long time but don’t recall many first team appearances.

I had forgotten about des thompson, yes he was definitely around in the early 60s but can’t picture him. You’re right hodge didn’t miss many!

The greatest heavyweight by a mile. Would probably be a cruiserweight these days. Best 2 boxers at all weights , Sugar Ray Robinson and Julio Cesar Chaves.

I think he ghost wrote a few autobiographies , well respected in cricket circles and never really liked football. Proper old school journo
