Anybody actually stick around for this?

I left when the added time kicked in but I’d be interested to know what sort of reception the players got.

Got a good reception, especially Baldock, Norwood and Bash. Souza climbed into crowd and gave his boots away to someone at the bottom of the kop near the goal.

The prince addressed the crowd and said that if Dozy had honoured his payments then we would have stayed up .

He said that he hoped any unpaid suppliers would understand the stress he has been through and that we should all be confident about the future.

He said that the premier league and football in general would remember us and his leadership for a very very long time .

He carried Vinnie off the pitch and said he loved it here in Belgium 🇧🇪

It wasn't announced as a 'lap of honour' - quite right - very little honour in that squad.
It was announced as a 'lap of appreciation'.
I took that to mean the players showing their appreciation for us fans having to stomach such a shit season and still turning up.
I gladly accepted their applause for my time & hard earned.
Looking around , less than half our supporters had stayed.
There were songs for Baldock , Bash & Norwood , quite rightly.
But the squad is in such a state of disintegration , I'm sure what most fans would want to communicate to the club board & CEO is their disappointment at how things have plumbed such depths.

Even though the injury was several months ago (not sure exactly how long) and how bad it was, a part of me dreaded that I would see Basham walking around either with crutches or a protective boot, glad to see that he didn't need either of those things.

Yes. And at least they tried to make clear it was a lap of appreciation from the the players to the fans.
It was worth staying for the chance to give Bash , Baldock and Norwood the send off they deserved. Three men who have given us some of the best times many of us will remember at football.
This season has been one to forget as soon as possible. Thanking them for all the seasons previous doesn't go out of the window.
Brought a tear to my eye. They got an immense reception.

Don't think any of that is funny😏

Think when we buy players of certain countries, you get these emotional outbursts. Not necessarily the British way.
Although in saying that they seem to be learning pretty quick, observing the Premier league. It will work its way through the league.

Yes. We stayed until all the players finished their 'lap of appreciation'. I understand why fans are disillusioned with everything but can't people just accept we aren't good enough at this level? The players got a good reception from the few fans who remained (most of it reserved for Bash I think)

At the end of the day I'd rather support a poorly resourced team than a winning team with 115 financial irregularity charges hanging over them, As I see it, it's a hollow victory and waking up to Radio 5 eulogising over them was nauseating,

motd doing the same again and only briefly mentioning the 115 ffp charges that have enabled city to win the premier league 4 times in a row its pathetic theyve overspent and theyve cheated their way to those titles but the media always choose to ignore it

I stayed and gave them some applause for effort. Not their fault they're shit.

I like the 'it's nothing to do with the players' line that they took. That'll be the players who wouldn't be there if City didn't have unlimited cash to pay them!

I mean, if that doesn't earn him a call-up to the Brazil national team, nothing will.

I can reveal that Bell4 was the grateful and startstruck recipient and will be doing his gardening in them.
Yup

Sussed

Tried them when i got home but I couldn’t catch the mower and there are two left feet - also I uprooted my recently planted lovely bedding plants by constantly and pointlessly slide tackling them ….
