According to ‘Give Me Sport’ (although I’ve never heard of them) their journalist Hal Fish has a piece headed ‘England‘s 92 Clubs Ranked Based on Experience for Away Fans’. We have come out top of all the leagues with a point score of 80.24 out of 100. This is based on as quoted, “The Blades home turf has a medium ticket cost averaging £22.89, which is the cheapest in the Premier league, while still boasting 80/100 atmosphere, location and stadium view - making it a worthy winner.”
2nd place went to the Florists
3rd was Spurs
10th Man City
17th Man U
Oh and the dark side came out in 40th with a score of 69.31
Wonder if we could get extra points for that!

Points will be deducted to allow the top 6 in the PL to catch up, leading to us in L1 and Forest in the Championship.

Also as an away fan you’re practically guaranteed 3 points!! What’s not to love
 
Atmosphere as a whole is probably slightly rose tinted in memory but the fact is the fan bases at all clubs are getting older so no doubt the atmosphere is getting worse.

Us Blades have a tendency to self flagellate over the atmosphere at BDTBL, and although we’ve not been very popular with Premier league fans in downtown Lagos and beyond…The Prem away fans seem to know better than we do what a great atmosphere can be created inside BL..
 
I’ve been to autopsies with more of a party atmosphere than Bramall Lane this season. All season had been like shaving your knackers with a pineapple. Like watching endless re-runs of EastEnders. The horror, the horror……..
 

I've always thought the atmosphere at home tends to be the two extremes, can be very loud and intimidating but also when we are playing an average side in an average season it's often crap.
 
Several You Tubers voted us the best away fans last season, this season its gone to the pigs, looking like same league next season, should be interesting.

Fact they also get to see their team score 5 also must have boosted the score! 🤣

Best atmospheres I can remember was the mid 00's since I started going.
