dunno about anyone else but every time we pass it back to him and he just fucks about waiting for opposition to get close im thinking fuck sake haven't you learnt then he just kicks it out for a throw in when he could have actually looked for McBurnie or BBD.

Well thank you sir !
But it's obvious , and been said by many on here already.
As soon as the Prince revealed his desperation to leave by entertaining Mauriss & Dozy , we became a joke club and I do believe he's embarrassed to own us.
Hence the notorious press conference abdicating all responsibility and removing the board out of Sheffield.
Once that happens , you've no one at the top with skin in the game or presence at the Lane and pantomime will follow.
Transfer embargos , etc - makes last year's promotion a miracle , but let's be honest , we were never convincing were we ? And almost squandered a huge lead by losing to 4 or 5 rivals on the bounce. Then the recruitment 😆.
And us fans can see it all coming but can't do anything.
The ironic thing is, the Prince was sailing so close to the wind we have now been punished for it.

We were short on 8.1m.

This summer we’ve spent more than that on Grbic, Traore and Slimane.

In each case, we may have been better off simply not bothering.

For the 5.8m we spent on Trusty, who has looked completely out of his depth, I wonder how much worse someone like Frecklington would have been if given the job as back up defender?

No wonder Mitch went if that was the best he could manage.

Anyone seeing Grbic would know there are plenty better keepers out there. As bad as his rick was against Norwich, he could have just rotated Davies and Foderingham and been no worse off.

Apart from his injuries, he had one cameo in December I think where he should have scored, maybe Brentford at home? On limited viewing he looks slow and unathletic. A bit like Try Dellas but without the quality.

Traore just looks so slight and inappropriate for our league.

The amount of money we’ve wasted since promotion the first time has been scandalous.

I struggle with why any of our ‘defenders’ still pass it back to him, why not launch it themselves, at least it might go somewhere near one of our players….

Here we go again. Let’s all slag Grbic off because he’s the current favourite target to slag off, just because some fans feel the need to permanently have a player to slag off. Let’s do it however he plays, because we’ve already decided to do it before the games even started. What about watching the game with an open mind, then deciding how he played, rather than just slagging him off, just for the sake of it.
Exactly our fans are like lemmings once some fans start criticising a player they all latch on..
If Wes was in goal yesterday we would have still lost 2-0 and there would be nobody questioning his involvement in the goals. They would probably be questioning Wilders shit substitutions again instead.
Maybe that's why Wilder picks him because he knows our fans will blame him rather than himself.
If anyone is going to cost us 10 to 15 points next season it Will be master tactician Wilder with his trade mark shit substitutions..

I refuse to believe we spent 5.8m on that nothing player. That's more than I can take. I think and hope we won't end up going over 4m for him

He's one we should cut losses on and replace, along with Grbic. If we'd have decisively cut losses on other players in recent years we'd be many millions better off. Need to forget what we paid, and focus on what we could get or eventually will get, which will often be £0

Plus bailed Anel out first half by making the correct decision with maupay bearing down on him
Anel was majorly at fault, but Grbic did him no favours playing the pass to him at speed. Grbic’s distribution is abysmal, either on the deck or out of his hands.

Gbric is slow to react and slow to move for the first goal and the disallowed one - he somehow dives without stretching his shoulders or arms - he is absolutely feckin useless , he looks nothing like a goalie , he doesn't think like a goalie , he doesn't move like a goalie - he is the worst of our bad jokes of recent recruitment - if we don't ship him out we will be in the relegation zone next season - someone at the Lane has got to start taking responsibility for these shit recruits and getting shut of them , no matter the embarrassment - can't just keep on , it's like the old song about the King's Clothes - someone has to admit the bleeding obvious or we will continue to get weighed down by all these mistakes and it will sap away the already rock-bottom morale in the camp.
Other than that he's alright

The first yesterday he should have saved he had no chnace with the 2nd. I think wes and the rotherham keeper save the first

Reminds me.of ramsdale when he first started with us, just seems to slow to get to everything and always in the wrong position

His overall game does not inspire confidence and he is yet to make any save other than routine stops. We could do worse than put Faxon in the net and give him some first team experience.

It’s not about scapegoats. I was a goalie myself, I coach and watch keepers now. I try to pick up on strengths and weaknesses.

Apparently he was scouted by Matt Duke, a reasonable enough keeper in his day, which baffles me all the more about his judgement on this one. You can easily enough find other clubs supporters opinions on Grbic, much the same as many of ours.

I Had high hopes myself, number two to Oblak, must have had something about him. But there is nothing about him that says this is anything less than a bad signing.

I’d love to be proved wrong, I’d love him to come good, but he is fundamentally flawed in my opinion

Wes literally has been hammered loads this season. (Rightly so on some occasions)

Is Grbic your no1 next season? We won't finish in the top 6 if plays 46 games in the championship, he will cost us points. I'd happily bet on it with someone.

Hopefully we sign 2 new GKs and we could be losing 3.

Rest of your post, ridiculous relegation zone next season hyperbole aside, is fine, but if you are seriously saying that he should have reacted from being set for a cross coming in to then saving an inch-perfect deflection from Blaster (it went in off the far post FFS, he could try to do that deliberately 100 times and he wouldn't place it better) in the amount of time he had, then you're asking a fucking lot of him
I wasn't saying he should have saved either of them , I'm saying that both instances are good examples of how slow his reactions & movement are

He will cost us ten places next season if he’s number one.

As I think we are at our best a 15th place team next season we could be looking at back to back relegations
I agree that he will cost us next season if he’s still no.1, but we’ve no idea who our other starting 10 will be. So it’s a bit early to be predicting a 15th place finish in the Championship 🥴

I know Wes has made mistakes this season but my point being that the Goalkeeper wasn't too blame for the defeat yesterday and if Wes had been in goal we would have still lost 2-0 and no body would be questioning the Goalkeeper..
From what I have seen of Grbic I would be worried if he was our number 1 next season. But and it's a big but the football world is full of players that had a terrible 1st season but went onto be very good players especially foreign players coming too England.

the simple fact is that wes fodderingham is a better keeper than grbic and was told by our manager hes not good enough ive heard a bit of a rumour grbic will be transfer listed this summer and think we have to go for johannsen at rotherham hes been brilliant for them this season

We have had some top top keepers in the past, a keeper has something about them, they pull off a worldie every now and then, be good with their feet, grbic has done nothing so far to make him look like a prem class keeper.
When the ball goes back to him he kicks it out or kicks it to them, would love to see the stats on his distribution. Anyone got that info?
We look nervous at times, set pieces scare the living daylights out of me now. Mind you, we were shit at set pieces before grbic.
Wish Hendo would have come back to us....

This is where we're at with him now. Is he not good enough or just scratching for form in a poor side?

We can all have our opinions, and some minds might be made up but ultimately its decision that needs to have been made by CW by the final whistle of the last game of this season.

And as none of the other GK's are going to be here and we're already relegated, he may as well make it having given Grbic the gloves in all of the remaining games. Every opportunity to prove He's capable. Wilder is probably crossing his fingers with the rest of us that he's not going to have to blow another few mill from a depleted budget on another keeper.

Will be a proper 'shit goalie off' next week after howlers aplenty by both! Two bumbling trainwrecks. Might make it fun! Least we didn't spend 20 million on another like Burnley who's as bad as the clown who's replaced him!

👍
I’d guess that our coaches were more annoyed with Trusty and McAtee for the first goal and Arblaster lost his man for the second.
Some of the criticism of Grbic is ridiculous.

Controversial opinion but I don't rate Ramsdale... for me he makes camera saves that look better than they are because his starting position is usually wrong. He did get better eventually but it was very obvious from the first game he played for us against wolves, where a header that would have been a routine save for a decent keeper like wes looped in over him.

A save that Wes would generally make look easy by being in the right place, would end up being an amazing save because the starting position was always wrong.

Gribic seems similar but he also seems a lot less athletic than ramsdale, so every shot that is decent seems to go in and he's miles away from it

I stopped reading at "I was a goalkeeper myself". Where's that photo of the old forum team 🤣

Buried with the Ark of the Covenant…..

In fairness I meant that I could spot a keeper, not that I was necessarily that good myself…….

I wouldn't be surprised if Burnley put Trafford back in next week. Bizarrely we'll stick with Grbic.
