Batons please, planks are what fill Swillsborough every alternate weekend.
I'd call the pole man a fucking idiot but in retrospect, within a year he'd be on the biggest job anyone could get on, along with most of his mates.
 

Is the prewar photo, either team, Blades players?
Don’t think it is actually, could be first non blades pic I’ve posted. Caption with the photo was its Jack Smith collecting the ball, but I never gave it a closer inspection but that’s certainly not Jack Smith.

Isnt that Blackpool kit and dont think the stripes are ours. Socks dont match our strip.

Colin Franks v Billy Jennings who scored the opener. Woody scored a wonderful equaliser with a 25 yarder against a gale force wind, a goal that defied science, Dearden got the winner
