None of them but if I had to choose it would be O'Niell

None - or at least I don't think they are reasonable or realistic, with the exception being Warnock, but I always say never go back, the second time is never as good as the first.

A huge gamble by KM, if it pays off he's done a Manderic, if it doesn't, then back to square -1. By rights, any team with a new manager goes on a run, let's hope whoever is in charge does just that!

Not the best list there Gav!

I'm sorry to report that I don't really have any strong feelings on this. We've sacked a manager a couple of games into a season. Now we've sacked one with a couple left to go.

These aren't the actions of club capable of achieving anything. They're the actions of a club with a desperate chairman.

I'm not sure what's crazier, putting the likes of di matteo and o'neill in the frame or after looking at said list deciding maybe that o'neill isn't quite right for the job !

Morgan would be my choice to the end of the season. He knows the players and the abilities of those on the verge of the first team, and with his fighting spirit might instill some much needed guts to a team that at present seem to be going through the motions.I fear some of them see themselves out of a job next season if promotion is achieved.

Sky Sources confirming Danny has gone. Nothing official as yet but looks as if the rumours from earlier are bang on.

Part of me feels sorry for Danny in that he came in to the club in exceptionally difficult circumstances and has, all things considered, done better than most would have expected him to do. How unlucky last year and still in with a (slim) chance of auto this year ?

That said, last night was perhaps the most depressed I have been at a Blades game for many many years and for the first time in Danny's tenure, I did think that his time could indeed be running out. The squad of players, and in particular the offensive players, is the worst at the Lane in 25 years.

Timing is typically the "Blades Way".

Sad really.

UTB.

Edit - Club Confirmed. Morgs in charge.

We have to stop thinking we're big enough to attract names like O'Neil and Di Matteo. At the moment (and come May in my opinion for that matter) we're a League One side, so with that in mind we're only going to be getting someone like Stuart McCall (Personally I think he will be our manager come July), Phil Brown, Chris Morgan, John Pemberton, I can't see us getting any stand out names. This will especially be the case if we don't go up, because there is no doubt in my mind Long and Maguire will both be gone if we fall short again and McCabe will be more than happy with another yes man.

Do you honestly think he's done better than most would have expected? and in exceptionally difficult circumstances?

I think any manager worth his salt should have got us up last year when we had the best players. I think he did alright, but to say he'd done well promotion was the minimum for me really.

If we want to be taken totally out of business and relegated playing shit football that would be a great shout.
We'd never get him but I'd have Brian McDermott or even Coyle.

I wonder if Wilder would be interviewed again.

Half measures United. Well done McCabe on getting shut of Wilson, he had to go if we wanted to save the season, but if he was really serious to clinch top two he should have got O'Neill in.

None of those in the list with possibly the exception of McCall will be anywhere near our club. Our stock is very low at this time, its hard to believe that two years ago we didn't employ Di Matteo

Who know when we got Wilson, Di Matteo ( might not of spelt that right) went for the roll and got turned down. Unlikey that now he will become our new manager

Or Andy Scott? David Holdsworth? Peschisolido? Warnock? For Heaven's sake!

Please let's avoid all this parochial ex-Blade nonsense this time.

As for Morgan - good luck with your five games Chris, then please step aside for someone who knows how to do the job.

Speaking of parochial claptrap. It's perfectly proper for a manager to wear a suit and act in a dignified manner during a match. We've had the track suited buffoon and it was embarrassing.

I was only throwing a name in there who was interviewed last time.

I understand that Bob, but it's only because he used to play for us. I believe subsequent Rotherham failure Andy Scott was interviewed as well? I'm astonished such people are even mentioned, but they will be! Curtis Woodhouse is available, is he not?
