Norwood's penalty

I liked how he took responsibility and owned the situation obviously he knew the ramifications and that may be why he wouldn’t let Archer take it imo that’s how a good captain works
Correct.

The captain did what a captain should do. He stepped up and took responsibility.

I'll be honest I feared the worst. Not because it was Norwood, not because I thought he'd miss.
I feared for the aftermath if he had missed.

Balls of steel. Captain Oli !

What a pen.

Can't f..ing believe it....left the ground 3 minutes from the end.
However felt reasonable happy, even with 1 point and was intending to come on here defending him

because if we'd have drawn loads of Blades would have been saying Hecky out.

Still wasn't impressed with the quality today but the desire and effort reminded me of a Warnock/ Bassett side. In that 2nd half it looked like the higher quality Wolves players were feeling sorry for themselves in the cold rain, as we out battled them into submission.

That unaware of events on the pitch but still feel justified in slating Norwood. 👍
I didn't slate him, I just said he wouldn't be the person I'd pick to take it which you've interpreted incorrectly.

to do that knowing that he was villian alot of the crowd. as he was part of the reason why wolves got back into it as he went back to giving possession away easily. but absolutely nerves of steel. & absoulte admiration to Norwood

Chuffed for him.

You could tell how much that meant today and I quite enjoyed his little lash out of "what?!" to the Kop and kick at the hoardings. Comes in for a lot of stick, always has, even when he was at his peak for us.

Sometimes we forget that these lads are professionals and it's all too easy to accuse them of not trying or giving a fuck, when in reality professional pride will be gnawing away at their insides with every bad performance and dropped point.

Whatever you can say about Norwood, you can never accuse him of not caring or giving his all for this football club. He looked distraught at FT v Fulham and v Arsenal. He knows what is an acceptable performance and what isn't.

I hope he enjoys his beers tonight, he deserves them.

The state of some comments firmly cements the idea he’s our main scapegoat. Has the balls to step up knowing that, and wins us our first game in the 100th minute and some can’t bring themselves to give him credit. Well I’m very chuffed for him, deserves it. Good lad Ollie.
