I also doubt that any players at the club now are happy with the way things are going, how they're being asked to play, being humiliated each week and watching their team mates pick up more injuries every week or not being able to finish 90 minutes because of the piss poor training and conditioning. Players like to win football matches, in the short to medium run if he became manager, if!!! Then if we win matches they will adopt him

What exactly was wrong with what he said? Maybe we would have had a reaction this year if Hecky told the players how it is in public? We lauded Wilder when he slated Henderson after the mistake vs Liverpool, complimenting his man management. No different here, he knows the players and what motivates em.

I'm not advocating Hecky going or Wilder coming back. What we should be is respectful of 2 managers that have done great things for us.

Doesn’t mean he’s not a good manager though. Since I played for the u19’s at Alfreton our football careers went on slightly different trajectories! He was probably right in his approach.

I seem to remember an awful lot of social media posts from the players for the "gaffer" when he left. If the players hated him when he left, I imagine there would have been silence.

It's the kind of disappointment/ anger a manager has when he expects the team to compete for results IMO. You could say they get a bit of a free pass at the minute from the management staff.
