Cheerio Hecky

Hecky is deploying baffling tactics. He’s overseen an injury record that is a disgrace. We have no style of play. His subs are a disaster. We are hopeless in possession. We are conceding chance after chance after chance. We just spent 40 minutes hoofing it to small strikers.

We have much better players than we’re seeing. The players deserve better than the quality of management and conditioning they have at their disposal.
When you're up against a better team which Man U are, hoofing it long is often the only option to clear your lines. When we try passing it teams at this level are so good at pressing that we just give it away because they're better than us. We desperately need a Bournemouth at home but no it's arsenal away. Man u at home has probably been out easiest hame in about six matches.

Excellent ! Have a very quick like mister 👍

What’s clear tonight is the pace of premier league football is effecting a few, larouci played better today than he did last time out, improving is good his he the final article? No but he’s improving that’s all we can ask of a young player that experiencing top flight English football for the first time.

It’s also clear that a high number of players in our squad are undercooked and not yet fully fit. No Shame in losing narrowly given the multitude of circumstances we have

I just remember us applauding Burscough off from the Kop for a good effort being a non league team, and it could have been their no.9 giving us the rods in reply.😀
Never did much in the cups in those days..I think '68 we got to the quarters in the FA cup,but had some great cup runs in the last 30 years.

There is, but you've seen the market. The types of players that come in and improve our XI cost £10m+ and we don't have any money.

Our next available route is to go after loan signings and really you're hoping for up & coming youngsters who don't have pathways at big clubs but are clearly talented.
It seems most of our first choices are off the table.

Going after ageing players that have bad injury records (particularly at our club) and ones that have never really done it at the top level feels like the dealings of a team headed for relegation.

Benson & Hedges

So, no manager in the world could do any better than Hecky? No manager would see we were dropping too deep? No manager would see we needed fresh legs and a tactical 10 minutes before they scored? No manager would work on us keeping possession?
You actually don.t think we.re trying keeping possesion

Hope that's a load of bollocks that you've made up...

Wilder (god bless him) couldn't cope last time so what makes you think he can cope now?

Not made up. Wilder was definitely with Prince on Monday, whether it was business or pleasure.... I don't know.

Yes I actually think that. We play percentage football. We play a formation that isn’t conducive to balls into feet. We panic and hit balls in a team mates general direction. And we hoof

I've been told that Wilder has commitments that can't be broken and he's available from the 9th of November. No idea if true, but Wilder was with the Prince on Monday which I know for a fact is true.

I don't think Wilder coming back will end well, if it happens. I can see it getting a bit toxic.
You may be right but surely wilder has more respect for Hecky to watch from the stands if he knew he had a genuine chance of the job, that's a bit crappy to me and aren't hecky and wilder supposed to be mates?!

I don't think its disrespectful at all for Wilder to watch us from the stands, whether he is or isn't in the running to replace Hecky personally.

We havnt tried to compete this year, net spend is something like 5 million if you take into account Archer is basically a loan. Could have any manager and nothing will change. The prince didn't want to compete, take the money and rebuild next year that's the plan. Hecky stays. I know it's depressing that we all have to write off a whole season..but it's reality.

And what about Fulham? Everton? Forrest?

Most of our long balls are actually clearances as we re under high pressure and makes numerous mistakes when playing to feet. Players are simply not good enough vs technical players as man utd.

I think we’ll have to agree to disagree here

Wilder was at the game tonight..
……. Which was more than I was to be fair

Lets do a Norwich for afew years...

I think Hecky with this team in the championship won't be far off promotion again.

What Hecky did when he came in after Slav getting us to play offs was management of the highest order.

Promotion the following season was incredible considering injuries, financial issues and the potential hangover from getting so close in the playoffs vs Forest.

He deserves to be stuck with for another go at the Championship next season. Don't get me wrong it will feel like the wrong decision every week as we lose the vast majority of our games in the Prem but the Championship next season is what we need to judge him on as ridiculous as it sounds. We will be in a much stronger financial situation if we get promoted in 24/25 season than last season.

Its far less of a gamble than getting someone new in, who may leave if we get relegated anyway, just to sign another new manager for the championship season who could be another Slav.

It's fucking demoralising mate!!

Fitness & Conditioning are Hecky & his Staff’s responsibility. No where for him to hide on this. Our injury list is not down to bad luck I’m afraid!

100%.

This is on Hecky. Our players do not look fit enough to do more than 60 minutes at this level.

No more excuses.

Fair enough, but then next season when we come back up, then what?

I'm pretty sure this time round, when we go down we won't be keeping high earners. It will be a very different season next year to the one when we last went down.
