We have a diverse range of thoughts and opinions on here, but we all have one thing in common ...... we want the Blades to get promoted this year.

Therefore I propose we put aside our differences, swallow our irritation at some recent "inept" performances and for 90 ish minutes on Saturday, give 100% backing to the sexy red and white wizards !!! ( even though they've not actually been very sexy recently, nor have they been too wizardly either, but we can forget that )

I would really, really like us to re-create that wonderful feeling at the end of a season, where we go up and the scum get relegated ........ theyre doing there bit quite well so, come on Blades ........

Amen brothers.
It looks as if they struggle without our best support at home. Get behind them, not on their backs

And make sure you turn up for 12:45 not 3!

Should be a good crowd. I am looking forward to it already.

If we win with a last minute goal on Saturday then I'll become convinced we're going up. Surely we're due one?

Looking at the table, if we don't win we could slip down to 6th or 7th.. COYRAWW

Should we all hold hands when we sing the Greasy Chip Butty song? Or maybe light a candle like we're at a Barry Manilow concert. FFS, is this how low we've sunk? We used to be a rough bunch who you didn't mess with, who supported our team in our own inimitable way. If we were good the players knew it, if we were shit we let them know, and the players used to know and respond to it if they had a pair, sometimes by giving us shit back but now they're a bunch of soft mercenary twats who wouldn't know they were in a scrap until they read about it in the papers.

Come on, if they need gee'ing up now they need a kick in the bollocks. not a cup of Horlicks and a hug.

Absolutely spot on, couldn't have put it any better.

^^^^^THIS^^^^^

Now get DW to tell the lads to grow some feckin nads, roll up your sleeves and fight and if those nasty boys in the stands call you names then ram it back down their throats and shut them up. COYRAWW.

Top posting Princess. Super stuff.

Heavy snow forecast for Friday/Saturday in Sheffield even on low ground. If so game may not even go ahead but sure Sky money may redouble their efforts to get it on.....;)

Hehehehe get DW and the team to grow some nads, LOL it will never happen they are as soft as wet dog shit, may as well pray for snow otherwise the promotion dream ends on Saturday.

I remember when we used to really make the Lane an intimidating place for other teams to come to. That was a fun place to be at, even if we were crap and the result was bad. It would be nice if at some stage we decided to revisit that mentality at some point this season.

I hope someone at Bramall Lane is aware of this and is planning ahead, in order to get a swift rearrangement set up for next Tuesday, in case the game is off. Two reasons for this; firstly, I can't see that there's any other available midweek, and secondly, I just happen to have the week booked off so I'll be able to get up for any game next week.

Sky may indeed be able to get things moving; remember the Portsmouth away game in the Triple Assault Season? It was originally meant to be played on the Friday night, shown live on Sky, but was called off because of a frozen pitch. Miraculously, it was rearranged for the following Monday and it was still shown on Sky. That meant that I had to do a bit of nifty persuasion to get the evening off work in order to keep my 100% record going that season, but it was worth it in the end with an excellent performance in a 2-1 win.

Im praying for snow, cant stand these early kick offs so Id rather it postponed. Sky have pissed me off this season having all of our televised games as home games which just makes for a worse atmosphere, smaller crowd and as in Saturdays case a stupid KO time

You may have misunderstood the intention of my original post. I dont, for a moment, suggest that we should settle for less than 100% from all the players, neither do I suggest that we should go "all soft and Liberal" on them. If they need a good bollocking then they should damned well get it x 20,000 !!

What I'm meaning is to get back to the atmosphere at BDTBL that other teams used to fear. I regret to say that unless we (the supporters) CAN make a difference and be the 13th man (as has been quoted many times before) then we WILL fall short this season. ( AGAIN ) Particularly, when we're playing against 11 plus 3 officials which has happened at home on many occasions this year.

The coaching and tactics, particularly at home, have left a lot to be desired this season and unfortunately we find ourselves ( Again ) with nobody other than Kitson who knows what a goal is !!

They need to come out fighting in the remaining home games this season.

With a late, composed side foot finish from Michael Brown as he burst through from midfield after Ndlovu had a shot deflected in the 1st half if I remember rightly.
Midfielders bursting through and scoring- those were the days.
Seems as though we will need a similar re=arrangement if the forecast is to be believed

Indeed.

Ndlovu had a cracker that night.

That was the one - quality finish from Brown.

GBlade-how are you? -from the man who sat directly in front of you at BDBL until losing patience & faith in McCabe.
Last sat directly in front of you at Oldham away- when you almost somersaulted over us due to the excellence of the stewarding that day!
See from other threads you are still experiencing the joys of the M1 with the help & co-operation of your enlightened employers- get that thumb out- could be a new programme in the offing!

It was indeed chaotic at Oldham, and good to see you, of course!

If the Brentford game is off tomorrow, then I'm hoping there's chaos on the trains and cancellations etc, because I think that's the only way I'll get a refund on my rail ticket. No refund, and the thumb will have to come out again IF the game is rearranged for Monday or Tuesday next week. I'll be notifying all relevant TV companies...

GB-from all accounts seems OK at the moment but tonight could be critical, particularly if the 'elf & safety' police get involved.
Good luck with it- are you going to Tranmere?

Oh yes - what better way to spend Good Friday? I'm being allowed to leave work early so I can get my National Express bus at 7:30, but then so I should because I was supposed to be on holiday.

Might see you there -nice short (40 mile) journey for us. generous to allow you an early dart on a 'holiday' day.

Brown was rightly praised for his runs on the ball and shooting, but his off the ball movement was also excellent that season, as shown twice in those highlights. He doesn't just join up with the attacks, he makes wholehearted, determined sprints into space to get on the end of things. His fitness must have been fantastic that season because he held his own defensively as well.
