Excluding those who bet on us getting less than that, of course.

This is what I'm worried about now 😭

Ah fuck it, whatever we get we deserve, who cares, we're not down but we're heading in the right direction for it.

There's way too much coddling of Hecky going on. Answering yes to things like this is included in that. Are Luton fans out and about saying things like this? Or again is it just our fans?

Hi Stegosaurus here

I think this could be a season where we see a team survive with just 20 points.

Us, Luton, Burnley and Bournemouth all look dog shit. We could easily see two or even three of them beating Derby's record--they are that poor. 12 will be a complete embarassment.

Absolutely not. This squad is a lot, lot better than that.

With proper management we'd certainly better what Norwich got in both their last 2 PL seasons

If you Google ā€œworst football team everā€ it mainly returns PL results as the top searches.

I’m pretty keen not to end up on that list and certainly don’t want to be top of it, however if we’re gonna go down Ā£1500 is a decent return!

Hi Stegosaurus here,

Might be a good thing for Hecky to quit before it reaches that point. Because ...

1 - He still has a pretty good reputation as he took us up, despite a lack of investment. So other teams will take a punt on him.
2 - If he quits now, he can still cite lack of support from the board and being forced to sell his best players, and up until Newcastle, we hadn't been playing terrible
3 - Getting the record basically killed Paul Jewell's managerial career. And let's be honest, people call him a poor manager, but up until Derby he hadn't done too bad. Promotions with Bradford and Wigan, kept Wigan up. He was fine.

Hecky breaks the record, his career as a manager is over.

It's all about momentum. Easier said than done I know, but we need to battle harder (with help of our crowd) and scrap a win to turn the tide. We've looked lethargic and tentative since spurs late loss. Gotta increase energy levels.
But we did before we just hung in stayed in games only in hope
the inevitable was playing as we are including Spurs n City heads would go
Like your optimism but you ain’t gonna get the extra energy without at least trying a different approach

Definitely not, the season has barely started and we still have to play Luton x 2, Burnley x 2, Bournemouth x 2, Wolves x 2, Brentford, Fulham and Forest at home an average of one point per game from these gives 12 points with the point we have from Everton.

All I see there is teams streets ahead of us

theres still 90 points at stake
we played man city and got beat because Foden totally miskicked one and it fell prefectly to Roderi
wolves defended far more than we did and scraped the win as City misfired

such are the tiny margins

we will have games when we might get a break in our favour , its been a while

I've never seen a poll so evenly balanced on an SUFC topic, almost exactly 50/50!

12 points would cost me £2500 and we'd still be embarassingly awful. That said we wouldn't be the worst ever, so on balance I'd probably take it right now.
