Listened to his wife telling the story of how Annies Song came to be.

She says they had been having an argument one morning and John left to go skiing,probably to cool off.

She says he wrote the song on a ski lift in ten minutes and it was for her.

It's a cracking song. I really like it in its "original" form, as well as in its GCB incarnation. To be honest, while not normally a fan of country/folk music, I am a huge admirer of John Denver and his work.
