My second son was born today - in Stevenage would you believe - so I'm thankful not only for his safe arrival, but also for his timing ensuring that I missed the latest SUFC SNAFU.

In time he may ask, "How on earth did we get thumped by them?", to which I will smile and reply;

"Because we were proper bobbar back then."

yes congrats coily, i remember missing a few blades (and England) crap games over the years to my joy afterwards.

Steeling my thunder!! I thought pizza and beer was a good silver lining!!

Congrats Coily

I hope you aren't considering that being his middle name!

Congratulations! Hope son and Mum (and Dad) are well!

My first son was born the day before we played the pigs in 1994 ,I thought he would be a good omen ,we lost and didnt win for about 6 games after. I was going to send him back.

My car broke down over the weekend. £400 quid repair bill.

Then the Blades... 4 - 0.

Spooky.

I found a decent silver lining whilst having a look at the Championship scores in the Sunday papers.

I can't think of one result I'd change to make the plight of the pigs any worse (Blackburn beating Burnley possibly but that was Sunday afternoon).
To use my favouite Soprano's saying "They're only a cunt hair away from a relegation slot".
