I remember the Barnet cup tie,not only did we lose to Barnet,we were outplayed,never even looked like beating them,another unprofessional display,one of many. Totally unacceptable for a professional football club in my opinion,typical United,Premiership/ Championship Football Club with a 3rd division mentality.

Last season we were fortunate twice against a conference side after extremely underwhelming performances.

We got lucky, progressed then it's worth giving a go when you suddenly at round 5

Outrageous that our under 21s are an average league 1 outfit (glad I didn't bother getting my ass in gear to get over there).

I would agree if it was not for the fact that the average age of Lincoln's side was considerably lower than ours!

I'm not bothered about not progressing in this competition apart from giving fringe players a run-out, but the standard was lamentable.

God help us if we have to rely on too many of those players for the rest of the season, injured returnees exempted

Not at all,whatever the competiton,winning becomes a habit, a habit all good clubs should be aiming for,otherwise ,why bother.

Didn't bother going last night, first home game I have missed in a while. Glad I did swerve it, especially with a 200 mile round drive.

Tricky one last night, I fully expect that it was a "minutes in the legs" exercise more than anything else but a win is a win and could have been a confidence boost ahead of Everton.

I said to my lads at the start of the season, I want us to play 40 games this year. 38 in the league and go out of both cups at the first attempt.....sounds defeatist I know but I want us to give ourselves the best possible chance of survival...

If we were to make a serious go at European Qualification this season, our squad players would have to play much better than last night. I can't see where (say) six wins are going to come from with that lot.

They parked the bus as you would expect the quality of our forward passing and creating chances was so poor

Mate, I’m not arguing with you. The performance last night was poor I’m just trying to illustrate that in levels of importance that game just didn’t feature. If we play like that against Everton then I will hold my hands up and say we’ve got a problem. We are fielding players that are potentially 4-6 weeks behind where they need to be. They need minutes and last night gave a few exactly that. The cups in my opinion are not important to us risking injuries / suspensions etc. Our focus needs to be 100% on survival this season.

They were told this is just a training match and our captain did a amazing job of taking us out , concentrate on keeping up no extra matches/ injuries , well done blades excellent way to go out , FA cup will be same !
Just win Saturday that’s all that matters!
