I’m not really sure tomatoes get stale. They rot, rather than become stale.

Stale food would be far easier to clean up though, rotting tomatoes would get everywhere. So perhaps cover Olsen in stale ciabatta or baguettes. Though baguettes would get crumbs everywhere so ciabatta would be the poncy bread of choice in such a humiliation
