By all accounts mate the Marseille chairman contacted Ndiaye after he had decided to stay and all but signed up and said "it's now or never son...sign for us now or we won't come back for you whilst I am in charge" or words to that effect anyway. So essentially they blackmailed him.

I am sure in his heart Ndiaye was torn, but before that intervention he had probably figured that he could renew his contract with us, get a huge pay rise, a year in the PL and then move to Marseille when they would trigger a (presumably) very reasonable release clause next summer. Everyone wins in the long term.

So I agree we were shafted by the late decision, but I think there were forces at work and to some extent the lad was stuck in the middle. I have said this numerous times already, but I will say it again for good measure. I hope Olympique Marseille sinks into the fucking sea.

He should have called their bluff then and backed himself.

If he had a decent season in the PL there would have been a lot of interest in the lad and if there was a lower release figure to OM in his new contract (which was confirmed by the Prince as being an option) then of course the chairman of OM would have reconsidered in 12 months time and taken him on. It was just a bluff by them and it worked a treat with him backtracking and falling for it. I like the lad and wish him well, but he was very naive and should have thought 'well fuck you then, I'll decide where and when I move on from SUFC'.

Still, all water under the bridge now and it's what we do now (mainly fuck all) that counts now.

Ndiaye is a sentient being, right? He could have called their bluff. I'm sure if he'd set the Premier League on fire next year and still wanted to go to Marseille, their dick of a president would have found it in his heart to pay the transfer fee. He's undoubtedly a great footballer, but as a person he seems to lack conviction and the courage to do what he thinks is right.

I was annoyed with his late decision too, really annoyed actually but it sounds like his Dad and agent were pushing him all the way as well. So Iots if pressure on young shoulders there. Ultimately his decision though and I agree he should have backed himself and stayed for a year, if he truly wanted to.

He is contracted to them though they will have expected him to report for preseason training

I just think this player who is worth atleast £10 million pounds the club who owns him (WHOEVER IT IS) won't have just been like "Yeah mate put your feet up no bother"

I’m not saying he’s not done anything for 3 months, I’m saying he’s played no pre season games which to me is much more important than training

Got to the point now where I'm just scrolling through threads looking at/for certain posters names instead of the posts. Weer's Rocket and T-Blade!?

Completed medical and signed 4 year deal according to the bladesman on twitter? 🫣

Watched the video clips of Vini again and he reminds me of (tin hat on) Robbie Savage.

He will get in the faces, break up play, does all the dirty stuff and hopefully wined up the oppositions supporters

What a bastard!
If he's buying booze for anyone, surely it should be us, the loyal Blades fans

I love players like that when they’re on your team. A proper hard cunt, but brush against him and he’s down like he’s been hit by a sledgehammer!

Get a few opposition players sent off!

We've brought in Slimane and hopefully Souza, that still leaves Norwood or Osborn to play alongside them. There's still work to be done. At least three midfielders needed to ensure that Norwood and Osborn never play if we pick up injuries or suspensions.

There are a few names floating around for a left footed MF

Also, Im ok with Norwood as a part player. I think he can still has a big part to play, especially his experience and dead ball play.
